This is a 2013 Ford Transit (L3/H3) with the 2.2 engine / 125bhp version.
MOT’d until 20th March 2023
Mileage 128,675
Responsive and drives well with no known issues. Feels nice and solid too and all tyres have been checked last week at tyre centre, replacing one and servicing a valve on another.

It has a service book which is up to date as I paid for a service last week and overall looking at the service stamps it has only missed 2 years since registered.

“It drives like silk,” these were the delivery driver’s words as he collected it from Norwich and drove it 400 miles back to me, I have taken it out a few times during conversion and indeed it feels very smooth indeed and quite speedy. Clutch, gearbox all feeling healthy and smooth and it is a chain driven engine.

Bodywork very good, just the odd blemish really, slight scrape on rear right side being the worst — and underneath also very good, solid and no visible rust.
It used to be a service vehicle at some point I think for Highway workers so the headlights come on automatic once the engine is started. This is wired in, but I’m sure could be wired out if required.

All in all, a great drive and base van.

Conversion Description

Hello,

Thanks for tuning in.
I’ve completed this off-grid conversion just today and it is brand spanking new and never been used.

It’s a hand-crafted, rustic in places/Scandinavian-cabin type camper built by myself. It’s minimalistic and purposely neutral, both emphasising an uplifting yet light and relaxing feel. Overall a clean, refreshing space to spend time in with the considered colour pallet and amount of light combining coming in from the back windows. It’s also highly functional/practical with off-grid power and considered layout to maximise available space and light.
I am colour blind so consulted a pro fashion designer for the paint/floor/wood matching; although she didn’t give me the green light for the tea towels/throws in the pics so excuse me (and imagine the right colour) if they’re clashing.

Different types of wood have been used in it’s construction including reclaimed pieces to emphasise the rustic feel – think cosy cabin with snippets of design. Spruce cladding tops off the insulation process and decorates the interior shell, all of it lightly sanded, the bottoms of the benches have been painted with Farrow & Ball wood paint, complimented by a lighter colour around the kitchen. There’s plenty of overhead storage with the two lockers, the area above the cab, plus huge storage under the two benches — one is accessible from the back doors for longer items. The seat by the side door houses the 25litre water supply and the 4.5kg butane gas bottle is to the left of the kitchen unit and correctly vented with a mesh in the floor.

The kitchen area is compact and functional with sink / cold water supply, plus a 2-ring glass hob. There’s a very handy overhead shelf that is strong enough to support heavy weight or just your mugs and tins. The fridge is hidden in the kitchen unit under the drawer and is both 12v or 230v.

There’s a see-through/get-through point into the cab and this could also provide an emergency exit to the cab. I have built this to leave a walkway through if the new owner decides on two single seats in the cab instead of the current 3, which would make it easier to pass between the two spaces. The back doors have two darkened windows. There’s no curtain though, so the new owner has a chance to add their own touch with matching cushions maybe? There are plenty of places to screw in the camper if you wanted to add extra shelfs, hooks, curtain poles etc so I can show you the best places.

There’s triple insulation in most areas of the van comprising of sound insulation, 25mm boards/Kingspan and then covered with unbroken rolls of thermal insulation foil to prevent any condensation. The only area not insulated — but rather panelled and painted — is the large side sliding door to make it lighter and easier to close and also with an eye on the addition of a future side window.

More about the spec:
200w Monocrystalline Solar Panel — Premium Range with 19.19% Cell Efficiency — linked up to a 30amp Renology MPPT control module.
Split Charge Relay for charging battery when driving.
The Leisure battery is a Varta LFD140: vented with an escape vent in the floor (there is plenty of room to either double up batteries or upgrade to something bigger but this will serve off-grid fridge usage day and general phone / laptop stuff.
USB charge points / three individual LED lights for different areas of the camper including under the kitchen shelf.
Water cut off switch
1000W remote controlled inverter for 230v energy (ie, stuff you want to plug in).
40litre 12v/230v Fridge with lockable door
Shurflo water pump / pressure switch connected to an onboard 25litre cold water supply
2-ring Glass domino gas hob (connected to small gas bottle -which is also vented with an escape vent)
Digital carbon monoxide meter/alarm
Two-door kitchen unit with overhead shelf made from reclaimed wood

First to view, will buy this. I’m very pleased with the conversion and this is the third Transit Mk7 conversion I’ve completed and the best so far – the other two sold to the first to view each time. Generally it’s better in person than the photos project and there are no filters on the photos btw.

This is most suitable for a solo traveller or couple, either escape wagon or full-time living as it offers a good balance between size and space, comfort and privacy. It’s still a relative blank canvas in the rear, simply by adding fabrics/pics/trinkets (or even different cushions although the current ones are very comfy), the feel could be transformed to the new buyer’s taste.
Priced fairly and competitively within the current market as I’d like to sell -enquiries by email please: vanhalla@protonmail.com
Thanks for looking.

Beds Description

Two long bench cushions either side form either two spacious single beds for sleeping each approx 6ft long by just over 2ft wide, which is ample for two individuals or a couple after a less blissful day (or!) convert to a king size double by adding 3 panels into the centre (stored under bed) and using the back rest cushions, which converts sleeping to a king size double bed — which would sleep a third person/child/attractive hitchhiker. The double bed when made up would be 6ft long x about 5ft 5/6in wide.

Main Bed Length
183cm
