Absolutely brilliant engine with the super low mileage – 1 owner virtually from new. Took the biggest hill in the South West at 70mph in 6th gear (leading up to Exeter Racecourse on the A38). No other van I have driven has took that hill with such ease, excellent torque and power.
High level, off-grid campervan, completely hand-built by a professional converter with lengthy experience.
Every single piece of wood has been shaped and sanded by hand and the layout is the best available for this type of Mk7 Transit, maximising the dimensions of the vehicle to create a functional and cosy living space.
I care about how things feel and are constructed and strive to find the balance between aesthetics and function. No corners have been cut and I’ve added quality technology inside such as a lithium battery by Fogstar (the market leaders) and decided on a layout suitable for travelling into Europe and wanting a bit of extra security and privacy / hence why I left the steel bulkhead in (between cab). The conversion is brand new. All technology is brand new. The bench cushions are brand new. I have just finished the conversion today: Dec 20th and pictures were taken today. It has yet to be used, the bed has never been slept in.
It’s a cosy cabin. The lithium battery can be drained to 0% unlike a normal lead acid battery. It is monitored using Bluetooth via your phone – just download the app and its good to go. There’s not much to do other than drive the vehicle a bit to charge it (and the solar panel will keep topping it up also). I have retained all the operating manuals for the new owner. The battery has a 10-year warranty.
There’s an Alpicool compressor chest fridge inside the top bench, they’re great – well tested by myself. It’ll keep your food and beverages cold day and night. You’ve got two LED touch dimmers and a light under the kitchen shelf, water pump can be switched off also. You’ve got a 1000w Renogy inverter for electricity conversion from 12v to household 230v (basically you can plug stuff in).
Big overhead locker, large over-cab storage, plus ample storage in some of the benches.
Two tinted rear windows inserted – absolutely the best view/seating config of any van build – park up by the beach in summer and you’ll see. No other windows inserted as I wanted some level of stealth, yet i’ve left it open for a window to be added on the sliding side door if required by new owner. The steel bulkhead has been left in for security but I’ve inserted a small viewing window so you can see out the front.
Seat cushions are top quality. I bought them brand new – took them out the packets myself. Very solid and comfy. Perfect fit along the two benches. Very easy just to relax into and look out the rear windows at your view.
Plenty of space left on the roof for either a roofrack/sleeping deck or extra solar panels.
Cold water only powered by Shurflo water pump from a 23litre Fiamma wheely water tank, a two ring gas hob runs from 7kg gas bottle for cooking.
There’s no shower, no heater and no toilet – however there’s space for a portaloo and a diesel heaters.
Insulation is triple layered (sound insulation base, recycled plastic bottle wool finished with a thermal wrap condensation barrier) in most places apart from the doors lower door panels which have 1-2 layers due to the locking machinery inside. Well sanded spruce cladding finishes things off. Timber has been well sanded, varnished or painted.

This is most suitable for a solo traveller or couple (with or without a youngster). Either an escape wagon or full-time living as it offers a good balance between size and space, comfort and privacy. It’s still a relative blank canvas in the rear, simply by adding your own fabrics/blinds/touches the feel could be transformed to the new buyer’s taste.
Van has been very recently serviced – I’ve just put on two brand new front tyres today also. All 4 tyres are excellent and the spare is brand new. The airbag light is illuminated and just needs resetting in garage – won’t take 5 minutes (it came on as I disconnected the battery to fit the charger). Bodywork is very good and no rust, but there’s a couple of slight indents on lower right side. Only 59,360 miles!
Priced reasonably in comparison to others. Registered currently as a van, but satisfies all the criteria to be reclassified as a motorhome if required – including exterior vinyls, 6ft long bed etc.
Come and view and drive before purchase if you’re keen. I’m based in Cornwall.
Doesn’t include plants, books, mugs and other bits i’ve used for dressing.
Thanks for looking.
Two long singles (6ft 1 & 5ft 11 long x 68cm wide) with brand new cushions designed for sitting (and sleep if flipped over). Either sleep as two spacious singles or fit the wooden base panels to join up the beds into a king size double with a sea view and flexible table for drinks. Bed takes 60 seconds to convert to king size.
Option of a small 3rd bed is up by the cab and suitable for child.
