VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER T32 140 TDI SWB
2.0 litre 140 BHP 6-speed manual diesel. T32 variant (high payload). Registered 2012. Plenty of power in driving this van. MPG around 30-35 combined.
FSH. Most recent full service and MOT April 15th 2024. All receipts since I’ve owned it.
Engine great condition. Bodywork a few minor scratches (from narrow lane hedges), a few chips on the bonnet and the plastic front assembly looks a little faded close up. Nothing out of the ordinary for a well loved vehicle and nothing of concern.
Captain’s driver seat. Twin passenger front seat with Kampa swivel base. Three contoured and belted seats in the rear making this a rare 6 seater camper.
First used as a fleet panel van for a fixings delivery company. Bought from Swansea Campers as a panel van in 2017 with mileage around 111k. They smartened it up with a new front assembly and the black alloys. Then we had it converted to our bespoke camper design by Mike at CMC in Cheshire. Mileage currently just under 165k.
Reversing camera fitted in 2017 along with a Kenwood DABS-5170 stereo and Garmin navigation system featuring Apple, Android and USB inputs.
Hugely loved van has seen the 5 of us on many family holidays in UK and France. For sleeping: 3 of us in the van and 2 boys in the Outdoor Revolution Movelite T5 Air drive-away awning (also included with the van).
It’s a bespoke 4 berth conversion with a narrow side cupboard unit allowing a crash-tested RIB bed with 3 fully contoured and seat belted seats. The side units allow plenty of storage including a ventilated, secure gas bottle store and onboard water tank (removable for easy refilling). There is a pumped cold water tap on a dometic sink and a single gas hob – ideal for a hob kettle or a saucepan for soup or noodles etc. The Dometic fridge with top freeze box is surprisingly spacious and runs from either mains or battery.
The twin front seats are on a swivel base and can be turned to face rear. A cleverly stashed table fits between the rows of seats to share food, drinks, games etc. when everyone’s in the van. There are LED lights in the kitchenette area, above the lower bed and in the pop-top. The pop-top has a grey water resistant canopy and a front window with a roll-up blind and ventilation mesh.
There is a 240V hook up on the side of the van and internal 12V electrics. The (new) leisure battery charges from the engine or from the mains and holds enough power to run the fridge for a weekend without needing a boost. There are 3 x 240V 3-pin plugs as well as USB charging and 12V ports. The electrical control unit is fitted on a panel beneath the rear seats.
There is plenty of storage around the van: shelves around the rear, under both twin and rear seats and in the large boot space which can hold a huge amount of gear.
The bike rack is genuine VW one for up to 4 bikes. The CampervanParts roof rails have been professionally glued, screwed and sealed onto the pop-top roof and hold aero bars. While the pop-top roof itself is not officially rated for any load, I have used these roof bars for carrying three surfboards on long trips and it’s been totally solid.
The main cab also has an Autoterm Planar 2 diesel space heater fitted which warms up quietly and quickly when the outside temperature drops.
Integrated curtains, insulated windscreen cover, pop-top sound and heat insulated wrap (also grey), “Funky” orange canopy, gas bottle, water container, and Outdoor Revolution Movelite drive-away awning (including twin bedroom attachment, all included.
Seriously love this van and it will be a wrench to see it go. But, kids have grown and we have an alternative destination for our holiday time, now. Such a great van deserves adventures with a great family and, hard as it will be to say goodbye, I would be happy to know it’s going to be used and loved as much as it has been with us.
RIB 3 contoured seats in rear folds out to double bed. Double above in pop-top with foam mattress on gas pressure strut lifting base.
