Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Please be sure to read the whole advert if you want a truly off grid, comfortable van that’s been newly converted:

Versatile camper that can sleep and legally carry up to 5 people

Citroen Relay Enterprise ‘off grid‘ LWB Highroof (L3H2) campervan. 2014 64 plate (almost 2015)

Bulletproof 2.2 Diesel engine and 6 speed gearbox

Bought this in October 2020 off a friend who is in the motor trade. It is an ex-MOD vehicle therefore maintained regardless of cost. FSH. I had it serviced when I finished converting it in April and also had new engine battery and new front brake pads fitted. Mileage is a sensible 121,000 miles but it looks and drives like a 20,000 mile vehicle. Tyres are all very good. No nasty rattles from engine gearbox or clutch.

The van itself is exceptionally clean inside and out. Even the drivers and passenger seats are like new which is very unusual for a van. There are a few of the usual stone chips to the bonnet but this could be painted over for about £100: I have not bothered with it .

I doubt whether you will find another 64 plate as clean and straight as this. Since converting it we have done about 5000 miles.

This is not your usual conversion but has been done to a very high standard as I am a cabinet maker/kitchen fitter. The van alone, without the conversion, is worth £9k PLUS VAT, minimum, due to condition!

As said above, this van is totally ‘off grid’. We did a two week trip in which we relied just on the solar panels and the dc to dc charger which runs from the engine and the leisure battery showed no signs of any dropping voltage. We are running a 12v fridge constantly (in fact it has not been turned off since April) and we have loads of lighting, 2 fans and other electrical equipment inc usb outlets. I probably went overboard with the solar panels and the size of battery however this means we have never had to pay for a campsite. Camp site now are often over £50 per night so with no electric hook up needed this is obviously a huge saving which is ongoing.

I will try to list everything I have done to the van but will probably miss some things out:

Insulation:

Fully insulated walls, floor and ceiling with Kingspan and water repelling insulation stuffed in varies struts where Kingspan wouldn’t go.

Foil damp membrane to interior.

Total (£300)

2 x 240v switched socket outlets.

This is the market leading system fitted on £80k+ new campers and caravans, giving hot water and heating for the van.

As well as running on lpg it can also be run on 240v electric.

25ltr underslung LPG tank. (£430)

LPG level indicator.

Cill mounted lpg filler.

If they are not wanted I will knock £100 off the asking price to enable you to buy new cushion floor
(£50 on eBay) or I am willing to refit new flooring but will need a substantial deposit for the van.

Vans with this spec and condition are on here for £30k+ To give room to haggle.
I have priced my van to sell at £25k ( plus extra if kids seats required) so I won’t be taking offers. Any offers will be ignored.

As you will no doubt be aware, there are a few of these available, some at a lower price than mine. Please ensure you compare ‘like for like‘.

Do they have the market leading Truma LPG/240v heating and water heater. (many have cheap Chinese diesel heaters and inadequate water heating)

Do they have a proper shower and toilet?

Do they have a fixed bed AND seating area?Look at others of similar age, mileage and condition and quality of fitments and check they will truly be ‘off grid’….then come and look at mine!

No tyre kickers/joyriders. Will not be giving it away!!

Please note: This website would not allow me to put the weight of the van as it insisted I would have to upload a photo from weighbridge showing weight. However I have had it weighed, unladen with no passengers and no luggage and it was 2830kg .
I could prove this on test drive by taking you to my local weighbridge.

Vans with this spec and condition on this website are £30,000+ and I would imagine you could probably negotiate a bit. I am pricing this to sell at fixed price of £25,000 (plus extra if you require the two clip in seats). price is NOT negotiable. Serious viewers only!

If you were to commission a conversion of a van this age and condition to the specification it has been done, it would cost you £30,000 – £35000

No tyre kickers/joyriders. Will not be giving it away!
