2000 Vauxhall Movano MWB 2.5L Diesel
2.5 litre diesel engine, averages 350-400 miles per tank of fuel (50/60 litres). 5 forward gears.
Bodywork in good condition. Previous owner had underbody welded, so it is absolutely solid, though there are some areas of surface rust on the body but nothing structural.
Service history from 2017, last MOT October 2022.
For sale is our lovely campervan, nicknamed “Terry”. He’s a converted Vauxhall Movano MWB van first registered in 2000.
Terry has a unique, handmade and rustic wooden interior, with built-in LED lighting, kitchen area, pull-out double bed/seating area with custom made upholstery and removable table, 100w solar panel and a porta-potty.
The main conversion was completed by Terry’s previous owner, and we have complimented the conversion by adding a diesel esberspacher heater, 240v hookup, 4A leisure battery charger and building a bed extension for our toddler to sleep on (included – the extension, not the toddler). There’s still room for improvements and tweaks to make him even more homely!
There is space for an electric coolbox, with a 12v cigarette lighter style socket.
Up front in the three seater cab there is a Pioneer radio with Bluetooth audio.
As of today, he’s done 176,000 miles, but has plenty of life left – I have heard these 2.5L diesel engines can last 250,000 miles or more. While not built for speed, these vans are a joy to drive, offering torque and a maximum speed of around 60mph.
The previous owner had a lot of welding done to the underside of the body, so it’s rock-solid. There’s a couple of small bits of cosmetic surface rust here and there on the 23 year old body but absolutely nothing structural. In October 2022, a new alternator was fitted along with two new front tyres.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed owning Terry, we’ve had plenty of adventures in Wales and Yorkshire with him. We’re selling to upgrade to a caravan for a bit more space with a 3 year old toddler running around!
I have service history from the start of the previous owners ownership in 2017.
Along with Terry, I’ll throw in the porta-potty, levelling ramps and chocks, the bed extension and the butane gas tank (which has lots of gas left in it). That alone would set you back about £250 to buy separately.
We’re sad to see Terry go, and we’d love him to go to someone who’ll use and enjoy him as much as we have!
Seating area pulls out into double bed. Optional bed extension which would suit a small child.
