Vehicle Description

Here for sale is our Peugeot Boxer campervan. (Video Tour: https://youtu.be/a5OFT3W28h4) Very low mileage for a camper with 98k miles on the clock, Full-Service History and only 3 owners from new with MOT till August. Top spec business model with fully adjustable driver’s lumbar support seat with arm rests, sat-nav, Bluetooth, DAB, USB radio and full-time rear-view camera and reversing sensors makes driving this like a car. Genuine reason for sale, been diagnosed with epilepsy and thus cannot drive.

‘Vanwen’ as she’s become known was converted to a campervan in late 2020 with a fresh coat of paint completed last week. She can be driven on a standard car license with a weight under 3.5t.
She is fully sound deadened with Dodo Hex sound deadening sheets, Dodo matt foam insulation followed by a layer of recycled bottle “wool” insulation before the final exterior layer of spruce cladding affixed by baton to reinforced areas of the chassis. The floor is 9mm ply fitted professionally by Bits4vans who also fitted the side opening window, the opening Fiamma roof vent with thermal curtain and the rear ladder.

The electrical wiring was designed and manufactured by specialists Rayne Automotive to fit specific 12v off-grid requirements and was fitted by a competent electrician with wiring not placed under insulating materials. There is a smart alternator specific split charger from CTEK D250SE which provides charge to the 95AH leisure battery. The 215w solar panel also feeds into the leisure battery via a Victron Blue solar MPPT charge controller. The main switch panel operates small 12v articles via a 10-way fuse box for lights, chargers (12v and USB), electric pumped tap and the spark for the dual hobs while larger items such as the 5kw diesel heater (remote control, timer, and temperature settable) and 50L dual zone compressor fridge freezer! Lighting is provided via dimmable remote controlled ceiling lights with pre-set disco modes available…. (Should you so desire). There are a large number of fuses and electrical links left un-used, the idea was to future proof the system whenever we wanted to add something in, and the new owner could easily add in new items or a 240v setup if desired.

The kitchen area includes a SMEV 9222 left sided sink unit with dual hobs. A cold only florenz tap is 12v powered via a whale pump with 10litre fresh and grey tanks easily removed below. The hobs are gas powered with a tank secured and controlled via a regulator below. The unit still has additional storage room for food and there are shelves located above for cutlery and plates or whatever is desired with option to hand pans from the shelving. The 50L compressor fridge freezer is located in the left-hand storage unit with the 5kw heater.

The front dual seat in the cab fully spins around to greatly expand the living area. This swivel kit is m1 crash tested as a KiraVans product with an arm rest and cupholders in the middle seat.

The living area has a large storage unit under the hinged lid of the right-hand sofa unit. The cushions on the sofa were tailored especially for the van and are made of a blue, stonewashed denim type material (they are very soft and comfortable). There is a removable marine type of table which mounts in front of the sofa and can be stored in the over-cab compartment when not in use. Along with the thermal blinds for the front of the cab (these do cut down on the ‘stealth’ aspect but are extremely efficient for maintaining heat in the van as it will find the least efficient area and leak out of it). The roof height means nearly anyone can stand fully upright. The floor is a laminate peel and stick as this is extremely hard wearing and could be changed at a later date if desired.

The bed area is a standard double size with memory foam mattress. The mattress has a removable and washable cover and was custom cut to fit the space. It is importantly sprung by slats under mattress which keeps noise to a minimum and comfort to the max. I am 5ft 11 and am able to lie sideways easily. This van is the only one in its class with 6ft width to support a full-size double.
Beneath the bed is the ‘garage area’ providing a huge storage space and custom internal bike rack to fit 3-4 adult bikes as well as considerable luggage. We have previously fitted 2 kayaks and 4 bikes with paddleboards wetsuits etc in the back with no issues.
