Conversion Description

Our van was designed to be far more than just a basic campervan, this van has been converted by us with the idea we wanted it to feel cosy, warm and rustic but with the ability to still use the van for loading if necessary. The van is equipped with a 12v 130AH Expedition Plus Deep Cycle AGM Leisure battery connected to a Victron controller and 2x 100w solar panels. A Welsh dresser and hand made cupboard unit was modified to fit in the van to provide a kitchen work space and storage area. It has a ceramic tile splashback and a tiled area on the right with a pull out tiled extension to provide even more prep space. On top of the cupboard unit there’s a beautiful French copper bowl that’s been converted to serve as a sink with a click-clack plughole, copper tap connected to a flow adjustable water pump. 2 Ridge Monkey water containers under the sink serve as one for fresh water and the other for waste. Below the tiled prep area there is also a 12v Dometic CRX50 48L fridge to chill food and drink.

The interior has been designed to feel modern with a rustic twist, warm and cosy rather than clinical or “van-like”. Features include: Copper blind rails, hand made blackout blinds, T+G panelling, wooden laminate flooring to living area and cotton fly screen to side door. A thick comfy Emma double bed (which can be extended to sleep parallel or perpendicular) surrounded by upholstered walls, Pull-out dining table where 2 fold up chairs can fit and a full kitchen area. With LED lighting, extensive storage throughout Large rear garage storage area large sky light, a controllable ventilation system and 2 large solar panels. This setup allows the van to be comfortably used away from campsites for extended periods while still maintaining the comforts most people actually want when traveling.

Why this van stands out? Many campervans on the market prioritise basic practicality over comfort and atmosphere. This one was designed to feel more like a cosy snug on wheels. The combination of off-grid capability, vintage interior styling and practical layout makes it ideal for touring, festivals, extended road trips, or even longer-term travel. It has already attracted strong interest from people who have seen it due to the overall finish and layout. This is not a rushed budget conversion or a quickly flipped van. A huge amount of time, effort and attention has gone into creating something that feels different from many of the standard mass produced layouts currently on the market.

This is reluctant sale, we love this van but we’re selling it due to not being able to use it as much as we’d like to.

I have photographed every step of the conversion process which can be viewed upon request. Also additional pictures of the van now are available or you can check out my advert on Autotrader which has more photos.
