Volkswagen T4 LWB
Volkswagen T4 LWB 1000 1.8t 230bhp
The van was originally the 1.9td 67bhp and is now a 1.8t AUM running a k04-001, mapped with k03s with print out to prove 223bhp, should now be about 230 with a k04
Custom 3β down pipe with side exit 2.25β system
The van pulls extremely hard and will surprise a lot of people! With an occasional flame also at high revs. In a T4!
The k03s died about a month ago and was replaced with a k04-001, the map could do with a tweak as it is currently overfuelling a little bit, which I have been told is Β£100, this is reflected in the price.
There is still some smoking from the exhaust as a lot of oil went in to the exhaust and intake. The van hasnβt been driven very far since due to no spare time and i have another vehicle.
There is an intermittent fault with the epc light on the dashboard, that throws the throttle pedal off, if you turn the van off an on quickly, it will come back for you. This I have been told is for someone good with electrics could sort easy enough, but I just donβt have the time unfortunately.
The vans running gear has been overhauled including the following:
Top and bottom ball joints
Discs and pads all round
Wheel bearings
New rear light wiring loom from front to back to van
Short shift
Drop links
Jom Coilovers (quite bouncy, but could be changed with The famous Shaneβs plates)
The van also has a short shift, which makes it a million times better than a normal t4 shifter as it no longer hits the dash and feels like a car shifter
Diesel heater with tank fitted inside as seen in picture, due to the van now being petrol of course
IKEA Lyksele foldout sofa bed in the back
Toyota Lucida swivel captain seats, double armrest on both seats
Van-x curtains all round including cab divider
Nardi replica steering wheel
Carpet and half insulation done by previous owner
Lino floor (bathroom design.. easy to change to something nicer!)
Mercedes w220 S class alloy wheels 16β with very good winter tyres
There are of course a few dings on the van, which is expected and shown in pictures. Also I have included the surface rust pictures, which as you can see for a T4 is very minimal
The price I have listed is reflective of the issues that need addressing, hence the low price for this spec of van. The van is also listed as a 1.9td still on the logbook
The mileage on the van is about 241000 miles, the clocks show just over 210000 as they are from a mk4 golf to work with the engine. The engine is also on about 140000 miles.
I am open to offers! so please message me π
The conversion was done by the previous owner for the most of it. They did the floor and carpet, including insulation. I have since fitted a diesel heater and two swivel seats up front from a toyota lucida, with custom seat rails. I have put an Ikea Lyksele fold out bed in the back also, but this does require bolting down if you want it permanent. I left it like this so i could remove at ease for using the van with a mountain bike also.
