ENGINE AND HISTORY
Works completed over course of ownership to keep the van in full working order, serviced annually each year and used daily as my commuting/work transport since Feb 2023. Tyres have been replaced regularly and new front tyres were fitted at 141,000 in May ‘24. Timing belt and water pump were replaced at 121,571 and are documented and receipted. New shocks at 128k and new front brakes fitted. Oil pressure sensors, switches and oil regulating valve replaced April 2nd 2025 by Stealth Racing, VW Audi specialists.
Our Caddy has a 5 speed manual gearbox with cruise control and delivers the typical VW 50mpg pretty much all of the time. We have VW custom seat covers on front seats with storage pockets. DAB Radio and Bluetooth Phone/Media connectivity.
CAMPER CONVERSION
We purchased the Caddy and named it ‘Corrie’ (after my first dog as a kid) as a base vehicle for our roof-tent adventures and it has been amazing. Typical VW/Audi reliability and solid build quality all round meant we could travel with comfort, economy, reliability and amazing storage space with the added bonus of the iKamper roof tent on top. I’ve used the camper on DofE assessor expeditions right across the country from the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia, Dartmoor and Peak District and it has never let me down ! The interior has a fold down double bed which is the full width of the van and has been wired for 12V connectivity and has external EHU hook-up and cable. The interior is fully carpeted and the bulk heads removed and has been insulated and sealed. I used the van in winter in the Peaks and was perfectly cozy, choosing not to sleep in the iKamper above.

ROOF TENT
iKamper Skycamp 2.0 Mini (Rocky Black), roof-tent mounted on the best twin Thule aero roof bars.
This is without doubt one of the best roof-tents on the market ! Anyone wanting to begin camping using a rooftent simply will agree. The design is genius and the folding and setting up can be done literally in minutes. It’s a hard clamshell design that has air-damping support arms and a solid roof which all folds away easily yet uses less than 58kg of total roof weight. Steel support arms extend the canopy and windows while the rain cover gives shelter from the rain penetrating the front of the tent. The memory foam mattress is comfortable and we found the size perfect for the two of us to head off and have night’s away at the drop of a hat and just use the Caddy van to throw in all the stuff you need for a weekend’s adventure fun off grid. I feel the design of the iKamper Skycamp is just superb and coupled with the 2.0Tdi versatility of the Caddy Maxi, it’s a winning combination. Selling only because we are wanting a larger sized camper van as I head into retirement. This is a seriously nice set up and we want to sell the entire unit as a single sale rather than to split the roof tent and Caddy Maxi.
The van is in lovely condition, has been serviced annually, looked after and loved. The iKamper Skycamp is the best and provides heaps of summer fun.
Looking forward to serious potential buyers and no tyre kickers as we are not in a hurry nor desperate to sell this fabulous unit
