Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

2007 VW CADDY 1.9 SDi, ‘SOFT GREEN MET’ COLOUR
- Diesel
– Previous Owners: 2
- 60/40 rear doors with windows
- N/s sliding door
- MOT: Until 25/8/2023, no advisories
- I’ve had it for the past 5 years and spent £2.5 k on it over that time
- Receipts going back to 18/11/2010
- Resprayed Summer 2017
- 2 remote key coded keys
– Alloy wheels & mud flaps
– Registered as ‘Car Derived Van’
– Made to measure folding bed cushions included. Also fleece-lined flamingo curtains & sparkly ceiling cloth.

Semi conversion to camping van – Sleeps 2 with loads of under bed storage (could include x 3 big lidded storage boxes if wanted), small flip down table inside which is a nice touch, bed lengthens with passenger seats pushed forward (I’m tall and sleep comfortably), secret little hideaway cubby hole for valuables also a nice touch. I can’t sleep on the single version of the bed because I’m just too large framed but someone smaller may be able to!
Selling because I will be 60 next year and have bought a bigger van I can move around in more easily.

I’m told that Caddys can go for in excess of 200,000 miles so there may be another good 50,000 miles worth of life in her yet.

Issues that need attention as follows, and are reflected in the price:
- There is some rust on one of the wheel arches and also some along the hinge edge of the passenger door (photos on request); and there are some dings and scratches (photos on request) which are consistent with a van of this age that has been driven in country lanes and tracks, but nothing too obvious or that spoils the look in my opinion.
- Last service: 25/03/2021 – so 2 years ago. If I was keeping her I’d give her a service.
- Had some issues with starting when parked uphill last year but spent £287 on this last Summer, seemed to do the job. Although literally in the last month is has started playing up a bit. Solution – always park on flat or facing downhill!! Hasn’t been too much of a problem from my point of view but others may feel differently. If I was keeping her I’d get someone to have another look probably.
- The driver side wing mirror has a small hole in it where one section fits to another (see photo) but this is largely invisible. It means when you turn it inwards to protect it when parked up you have to be a bit careful and hold it at the bottom as you move it rather than at the top.
- And just this week the mechanism that spurts the water onto the windscreen to clean it with the wipers while you’re driving along has started playing up.

She does drive really nicely, 80 mph or more easily on the motorway. I have had some great trips with this van, lots of character and comfy drive.
Any questions just ask.

Conversion Description

Bulk head largely removed but not completely. Single bed set up: Bed/couch along driver side length of van. Flip down ‘bedside’ table. Larger ‘hanging’ table passenger side of van at rear. Boxed in wheel arch below runs length of passenger side towards rear from sliding door; forming a shelf effectively. Cute little cubby hole inserted, for storing small items. Double bed set up: Bed fills rear space of van. Can be lengthened by rolling driver and passenger seats forward so that two separate panels can be laid flat and supported in place by back of seats, made to measure cushions on top complete the whole thing. Room for ‘hanging’ table to flip down. Not loads of head room but enough. I am 5’10 and large framed, can stretch out and sleep very comfortably.
Decent amount of storage above cab and loads under bed.

Beds Description

Single bed set up: Length – 198 cm. Width – 67 cm. Runs along driver side length of van.

Double bed set up: Length – 198 cm. Width – 138 cm. Fills all of the rear space.

Main Bed Length
198cm
