*Weight:
This van has been up-plated to a Private HGV with the DVLA. It is licensed to carry up to 4.6t. This means you need a 7.5t licence (Pre 1997 or C1) to drive it.
Many Luton vans weigh 2.8t empty, making it near impossible to remain under 3.5t with a full conversion. Up-plating the van means the suspension and tyres have been upgraded, it has been signed off by a vehicle weight engineer, and it is road legal and not overloaded. The van, fully converted with no belongings weighs 3.6t, leaving you with a ton of payload for water, passengers, tools, belongings etc. As part of up-plating the van I did my Cat C license, it cost me approx Β£800 and I now work driving lorries at festivals. I’d be happy to tell you more about this process, I won’t however hold the van on the basis of a buyer waiting for their license, I would be happy to deliver.

I lovingly converted this van myself in 2021, it has been my home since then and has been refurbished prior to sale. It’s a beautiful space, comfortable for year round off grid living and a great base when travelling. I intended for this to be my home for many years, so I paid great attention to detail in the conversion and have used quality materials and appliances throughout. It was a labour of love and a creative adventure! Living circumstances have now changed and it’s time for the van to find a new home.
