40mm celotex board insulation on floor, ceiling and larger side panels, loft wool insulation in cavities/ small spaces and foil insulation + tape on wheel arches and other gaps.

Tongue & groove wooden clad walls and ceiling with carpeted doors and corners.
The sliding door and rear window panels have been carpeted over but could be easily cut out if windows are wanted in the future.

Ready to go home on wheels. This van has served as our home for the last 3 years on the Cornish coast. Living in it from spring – autumn before leaving for warmer climates over winter. It comfortably lives two and has ample storage for everything you need on the road.
It has a two-ring gas hob for cooking and charger points for any 12V kitchen accessories. The gas cannister easily lasts over a month of daily use and hobs cook very efficiently. There’s an generous, built-in electric cooler box to keep food and drink cold. We opted for this option instead of a fridge because of lower cost and power usage, but it would be easy to install a compressor fridge.
A built-in sink provides running water from a 15L tank stored in the cupboards. This is connected to a 12v water pump and switch.
Under the gas tank there is a space for a camping toilet (not included) which is of course a must for living on the road.
A carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher also come fitted.
Around the kitchen area there is plenty of cupboard storage space for all your utensils, pots, pans and dry foods.
The wardrobe space has a hanging rail for storing clothes as well as above and below cupboards for additional storage.

The electrical system consists of a 105AH leisure battery, which gets its charge from the 120 watt solar panel on the roof and also a split charge relay to ensure it’s always got charge. The solar panel also tops up the main vehicle battery via a split charge solar controller so you never have to worry about a flat battery. You can monitor both batteries’ charge from a display screen in the kitchen area.
There are 6 dimmable LED lights throughout the van and extra mood lights around the sleeping/seating area.

The bed/bench slides out to create a decent sized sleeping space (I’m 6’1″ and toes just wiggle off the end) which is made up of custom made foam mattresses. These have never been used as we ordered in lockdown 1.0 and took several months to arrive.
When not in bed mode a portion of the slats can be slid away to create an L shaped bench with the mattresses doubling up as back rest.
A fold-down table can then be brought down to create a large workspace or dining table which can snuggly fit 4 around.
A Fiamma air vent and wind powered fan keep a good supply of fresh air circulating.
Under the bed there is a large slide-out draw, which can be used for more clothes storage.

From the back door you can access additional storage space and the under-bed surfboard store. If you’re a surfer, you can fit 4-5 boards under 6’4″ but this space could be easily modified to hold bicycles, climbing gear, or other storage boxes.

Mechanically the van is in great shape. Having just hit 130,000 miles this engine still has plenty of life left. It’s not uncommon for Crafters to go well over 200K. It’s had an all-important cambelt change at 70K and a new turbo at 129K along with recently fitted new front brakes. MOTd until December 2021 there are a few advisories but nothing to cause any concern.
It’s got a good service history, with last full service at 125K.

Due to the van’s age and being located in the south-west, where the air is saltier, there are unfortunately a few rust spots and areas that have needed attention. The underside of the van is rust free and none of the surface spots are structural, purely cosmetic However I can’t say that the bodywork is impeccable, just pretty good.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about the conversion or van’s condition. More than happy to send additional photos or provide a video tour if requested.
