The conversion was almost fully completed by a previous owner as a little project for himself, who worked as a motor home converter for 20 years but sadly passed away before he could finish it. When I bought the van I made some amendments to the kitchen area and had a side window and solar panels professionally installed.
There is a bed at the rear which extends to almost a full double. This has carried the height and weight of me with ease and comfort and I am a large individual (6’2). Above the bed are two bendy-reading lights both of which have USB ports – great for charging phones/ipads etc overnight. Next to the bed is a large 3 compartment storage area that I use for clothes, electronics etc. And on the opposite side is another storage solution and a couple of shelves
– great for books and other tidbits. Above the bed contains the JBL amp and speaker sound system… which is epic! (It can also be used quietly…) This can be operated from the radio system on the unit or from remote control anywhere in the vehicle, an iPhone lightning cable sits just below to connect your phone, or you can use Bluetooth.
Underneath the bed is the garage area which houses:
Water tank
Grey water tank
Water heater
Water pump
Refillable LPG canister
And toilet
There is a shower at the rear door (outdoor shower).
The previous owner had professionally installed a swivel seat onto the dual passenger seat, this really opens up the living space and allows adequate seating for four. The swivel mechanism is open topped, this allows you to still use the storage underneath the seats.
I was planning to install a diesel heater under the passenger seats but unfortunately I just haven’t had the time, I will however include the heater in the sale of the vehicle.
As you walk into the van using the side door there is a Bainbridge Neptune 4500 cooker/oven. The oven has hardly been used and the hobs have seen only a little use. This has a steel splash back behind it and two spice racks (somewhat of a necessity in a camper these days) above that. To the left are several kitchen draws / cupboards which have ‘alligator’ closing mechanisms which have never opened on me while driving. There is also a sink with an electrically powered tap. The fuse/switch panel is to the right of the oven and the leisure batteries are below (2 of the 3 leisure batteries are pretty much brand new)
There is a multi speed electric fan mounted to the ceiling.
At the end of the bed is the two seater ‘couch’, the back of which lifts to complete the length for the bed. Next to the couch is the swivelling table which is incredibly sturdy. And underneath is the fridge, this location makes it easy to access when cooking and also when you’re outside the van.
Behind the passenger seats, attached to the base unit is the charge controller. This regulates the charge to the batteries from the hook up when you are at a campsite and from the alternator when you are driving.
Above the cab is another large storage space that I use to store bedding etc.
I want to be honest in this advert so I must bring a couple of things to your attention ‘the not so good’:
There are a few bumps on the body panels, one at the rear where the previous owner tried to jack up the van but missed and one or two small ones around the van. The bumps can be fixed and fortunately there is no rust. And one of the reflectors at the back of the van is also missing.
I have been very impressed with this van and I am sad to be selling it, however a new job and international relocation necessitate the sale.
Thank you for looking and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
Fixed double bed with a memory foam mattress. The bed can be extended for taller people.
