Vehicle Description

VW CRAFTER MEDIUM WHEEL BASE – CR35 TDI KOMBI 109 MANUAL VAN 2.5l 2461cc – Series 1 4DR, (2 Seatbelts) 2010, 6 Gears, Manual, Diesel engine.
30MPG +/-.

VW Crafter MWB, registered October 2010.
PROFESSIONALLY converted into OFF-GRID camper with Solar Panels by GV Conversions in Oct’ 2018.

MOT due July 2025, will sell with 12 months MOT. Lubrication service carried out in May 2025 after returning from trip of a lifetime.

Full Service history. In fantastic working condition.

New NOX sensor fitted in April 2022
Rust cut out and repaired on side of Van in 2021.
New cambelt & water pump fitted in May 2020.

It’s the last 2.5l engine VW made for the Crafter due to emissions, it’s absolutely stunning to drive arguably the best engine they made for the platform, really suits the rear wheel drive drivetrain and the 6th gear is exceptional on motorways.

Owner history
This Crafter was PROFESSIONALLY converted by hand by Jack Greenwood Of GV Conversions based in The Lake District.

The previous owners acquired the base-van and then gave to GV Conversions for the professional conversion to take place, completed in Oct’ 2018.

Oliver bought the van off of them just before lockdown in 2020 as they were relocating countries.

I bought the van off Oliver who was the perfect custodian for ~4 years, the MOT history since 2018 reflects this, I believe he and his girlfriend were also relocating.

My girlfriend and I are sadly selling as this 2 birth is now too small for our growing family. We had an epic 5000 (mostly motorway) mile trip driving through Spain, Portugal, France and it didn’t miss a beat.

We have made some unforgettable memories and we hope you will have as much joy out of the lifeCRAFTER as we did.

09.06.25 edit
Photos of dash clocks and undercarriage added. I believe there’s is a protective coating on the chassis which accounts for it’s excellent condition. Under carriage photos taken when diff oil was replaced.

Happy to provide additional photos should you wish.

Will include a video of engine running when I figure out how to upload and embed 😅

Conversion Description

This fantastic conversion has:

– Glass wool insulation throughout (roof and walls).

-Solar panels (New Renogy 100W slimline Solar panel fitted in August 2020)

– 12v, 140 amp DURTIC split charger (This means that the leisure battery charges directly from the Van’s battery when driving).

– Inverter

– 4 USB ports.

– 4 240V plug sockets. We have used these for laptop chargers, hairdryers, a toaster and microwave and never had any issues with the leisure battery.

– Electric Hook-up – I have never once had to use this as the leisure battery charged by the van’s battery, and the solar panels together are more than sufficient for the leisure battery to never need to plug it in.

– Skylight with multifunctional fan which can either draw moisture/air out (when cooking, sleeping, etc) or draw air in (if you need fresh/cooler air).

– Dometic Fridge with freezer compartment (new in 2020).

– Camplux shower replaced 2024 in the back of the van, allowing hot or cold showers outside of the van. This also uses gas and is linked up to a gas bottle in its own 6kg gas cage – the fact it uses gas allows immediate hot water. 2 further 25 litre water tanks link up to the camplux shower via a powerful water pump, meaning you can always have enough water on board for a shower whenever you want one! Both 25 litre tanks can be removed easily for refill or emptying.

– Separate driver and passenger seats which allows the passenger seat to swivel. Passenger seat also has an armrest.

– A Diesel heater, allowing the van to used comfortably 12 months of the year (This uses diesel from the van’s tank, but has a cut off, ensuring you don’t ever use more diesel than would allow you to drive to the nearest petrol station!)

– Stainless steel sink, with electric pump that feeds water directly from the 25 litre fresh water tank to the swivel tap. The tank can be removed if necessary to re-fill. The sink drains into another 25 litre tank, which again can be easily removed to allow for easy disposal of Grey Water. (Both of the tanks have a specific built in place under the sink, which means they do not move around when travelling). The sink has a Dometic glass lid.

– 2 ring gas burner hob, again with Dometic glass lid. New Gas bottle fitted in 2024 for the trip. The gas is stored in a 6kg gas locker.

– Kitchen drawer for cutlery etc.

– Oak worktop.

– Kitchen cupboard with ample space for storing crockery, pots & pans, kettle and so on.

– Upholstered seating for three, as well as the swivel passenger chair.

– Pull out oak table for eating, playing cards etc.

– 4 overhead storage cupboards.

– Oak effect lino to flooring in living space.

– Spot lights inside the living space.

– Huge Garage storage which is directly under the bed, accessed via the back doors. Here is where the shower, 2 x 25 litre water tanks & second 6kg gas locker is housed. The floor is a rubber like material, which reduces things sliding around. GV conversions installed a heavy duty metal frame for the bed, which doubles up to be used as racking in the boot. There is so much space in the boot for all of your off-grid camping needs.

– There is a clever fold down hatch allows access from the living space into the boot, perfect to store a longer surf board, or for simply accessing something you want from the boot without needing to leave the living space.

– I will leave the mattress for the bed as it is only a year or 2 old and has been barely used in that time.

– Two porthole windows in the rear doors add a really lovely touch and allow ample light. They also have magnets around them, in order to attach the black out, thermal window guards.

– The side of the van has a huge tinted window which allows you to see out, but is almost impossible to see into. This has a Living in a Bubble – Crafter specific reflective, thermal and blackout window guard attached using magnets.

– Upholstered thermal and black out curtain running behind the driver and passenger seats, which makes it extremely cosy and keeps it cool/hot as required!

– Cockpit also has Living in a Bubble – Crafter specific reflective thermal blackout window guards for the Windshield and doors which in the height of summer do an exceptional job of keeping the summer sun reflected.

Security features

Aside from the proprietary VW immobiliser and alarm, the van benefits from x4 different TVL amour-plate guards all of which are discreet and don’t effect the daily enjoyment of the vehicle; other than the pedal box which is a big bright yellow visible deterrent. The doors have stainless steel Armaplate-UK guards.

Beds Description

The back of the van houses the fixed double bed suitable for two adults.
