We have had the van serviced each year and the following have been fitted:
– Rear discs and brake pads, 2021
– A new clutch and fly wheel ,2022
– Exhaust temperature sensor, 2023
– Front disks and brake pads, and rear shock absorbers, 2023
– Four Falken (FK520) tyres in 2024
In terms of faults:
# There is a ‘bullseye’ chip in the windscreen (see two photos), which was noted on the 2018 MOT (before we owned the van). We were advised by Autoglass this year, that if it hasn’t already caused any further cracking, it was highly unlikely to, and that trying to repair it would weaken it.
# There are a few small dents and scratches on the front of the fridge, due to transporting various objects and protective blankets not quite doing their job properly! They don’t affect its running.
# There are a few scuffs and scratches on the outside paintwork, typical of a 10-year-old vehicle.
We bought the van after it was professionally converted to a campervan in November 2020. Fit included:
* Pop top roof with bed boards (these can be removed or stacked to suit your needs)
* Rock and roll bed
* Swivel bench seat
* 240v fridge
* Leisure battery and 240v mains hook up
* Double 240v plug sockets
* Double 12v usb charging point
* Single 12v cigarette charger, suitable for off-grid cooler-box
* Dual burner gas hob and sink
* Water with pump to sink tap
* We fitted manual air-conditioning in December 2020.
2 x 130W solar panels were fitted in March 2024 and connected to a 12V 100Ah lead acid leisure battery. This was in preparation for replacing the fridge with a suitable 12v model for off grid camping. We currently use it off-grid with a 12v cooler box (via the cigarette charger).
Also included:
– Outwell Newburg 160 Air-Inflatable Air Drive Away Awning. Cost £795, currently sold at Blacks for £477. Only used twice! This is optional and we would reduce the price accordingly if not wanted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbiQmr-GMIE
– Fly net for the door (attaches to the frame with magnets)
– Frost-protection cover for windscreen and door windows
– Internal thermal window and windscreen blind set
– Spare tyre and locking wheel nut
