Transporter T28 S-LINE TDI BMT. Van side windows
Purchased this vehicle to have converted to travel comfortable in all conditions. The conversion was taken on to a very high standard by the man himself Jonny Cotton of Vans55.
First port of call Bridgend Mechanics were it was totally Inspected and a few faults brought to our attention. (We wanted a incredibly uptogether van for this conversion) a whine in the gearbox’s 3rd gear, EGR VALVE electric fault… The gearbox was sent off and totally rebuilt, a new clutch and fly wheel was fitted along with new EGR valve , cam belt and water pump done and a full service a new set of Michelin tyres fitted no holds barred…we were ready for the Vans55 Jonny had it for a couple of months and kept a pictured diary of the whole project, well we got carried away and ended up with beautifully simplistic conversion

Continuous head liner in matching cab fabric
LED strip lights with dimmer controls
Thermal pull down blinds
Diesel heater under drivers seat with comfort control
Hookup under bonnet
A Clayton LPS II Lithium battery system with a very subtle solar panel to roof…off grid no problem…
Kenwood head unit for your google maps ect.
A number of 3 pin and usb sockets
A full width piggle storage seating and bed system complete with piggle mattresses . This system allows you to carry up to 3 bikes internally using the intergrated covered slots at the front of seating
The vehicle has AC
I can tell you the mattress is great well worth the expense
On picking the van up we realised there was no way I could use this for both work and pleasure I had got carried away with the conversion
Had to purchase another van for work to add to this my wife became unwell and the T6 did tops of 500 miles since we’ve had it done…
So comes a time to let go of material things as much as we would love to keep it we must move forward…
