VW Type 2 1974 Classic Westfalia Campervan

I have owned Apollo since 2019, have done only 8000 miles to date and have been keeper in a dry garage the whole time. She is a lovely 1974 VW T2 late Bay Campervan that from new has spent her life in the USA until 1988 when her previous owner imported her to England. I was a bit dubious about buying a Left Hand Drive for Right Hand Drive roads but it makes very little difference a very quickly forget you are driving a Left hand Drive vehicle, she is a real pleasure to drive. She is fitted out with a Dometic 12/240v fridge freezer, Dometic 2 ring hob and grill, sink with pumped water. 240v hook up and with split charge leisure battery. The engine is 1.8 litre and has been replaced and tuned and goes really well. There is sleeping for 4 with a rock and roll bed and Westfalia pop top roof. Now registered as an historic vehicle Apollo is Road Tax and MOT exempt (although I choose to MOT it every year for peace of Mind – Current MOT till 12th June 2026) and also ULEZ charge free.
Apollos Body work is in great condition I have not had anything done to the bodywork since owning it. The vehicle was originally Sage Green but was changed to a lovely metallic Blue whilst in the USA before being imported to England. There is a bit where the paint has flaked off on the sliding door handle revealing the original colour (this is not due to rust)and also a small patch of bubbling paint at the bottom edge of the front panel as per photo. The underneath is super solid and not had any major welding done or is any needed.
