Voltwagen T4 Diesel 1.9 turbo
VW T4 transporter. 2002 1.9 cc diesel engine. 131,000 miles. Only done 300 miles since last MOT August 2021.
Here is my daughter’s lovely VW T4 which unfortunately she can no longer use. She has had it less than two years and it has had a lot of work carried out on it in that time. Last year it had a new cam belt , new steering rack, a new clutch and front disc and pads and a hand brake cable. This year it has had new calipers fitted, new brake servo, new water housing and new battery. Since passing its MOT with only one minor advisory which has since been fixed it has only done 300 miles. The body work is very good for the age of the vehicle although it has a couple of scratches on the side.
The conversion is unique with the main priority being a comfortable bed. The bed is full size so no sleeping cramped up. It has a foam mattress and a foam topper to give the best nights sleep ever in any camper, home from home. Under the bed there is loads of storage space including a table which can be attached to the side or back of the van on which my daughter used to cook and eat. When she bought the van it had a run of the mill cramped conversion and although she had it all removed the wiring is still there to be used. All the windows have curtains and also insulated window coverings. All in all a superb comfortable van which has had a lot of work carried out on it to bring it up to a mechanically sound condition
The main consideration when doing this conversion was that it had a large comfortable bed that was permanent. It measures 180 x 150 cm. It is very solidly built with a lot of storage space underneath the bed and you won’t get a more comfortable bed in a camper van. There is a small table that hooks onto the back or the side for cooking, includes cooker and gas bottle. It was a traditional conversion before so all the electric have been left in and can be reconnected.
One large double bed with comfy mattress and topper.
