Quirky Campers is growing and we are looking for 3 people to join the team and help us deliver our mission to promote planet positive adventures. This is an opportunity to be part of a small but well established company in the exciting and booming world of handmade campervans.

We are looking for passionate, efficient and personable individuals to join our small and friendly team and are keen to hear from a diverse range of candidates. 

Our jobs don’t require specific qualifications, our interest lies in what you can do and your potential. As far as possible we try to flex our roles around the skills and interests of the person in them and there are always opportunities to stretch yourself and try something new.

All of the jobs are remote so can be done from anywhere (including a campervan), provided you have a good internet connection, access to a phone and laptop and can work between the hours of 9am and 5pm UK time. The jobs are also full-time or part-time as suits you, with a minimum of 25 hours per week.

Technical Customer Support 

Salary – £21,450 pro rata

This role is perfect for someone who is technically minded and loves helping people. It will involve managing and delivering our very high level of customer service to both campervan owners and customers alongside assisting the team with technical issues by identifying the causes and finding solutions.

We may also ask you to undertake other tasks as and when they arise. Flexibility, good organisation and an ability to multitask and prioritise effectively are therefore essential. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Managing and developing our Google Map Markers, Woocommerce account and other wordpress plugins
  • Responding to customer enquiries by email, telephone and website livechat 
  • Logging issues, identifying causes and finding solutions or forwarding to the right people 
  • Ad hoc admin tasks as required

Skills and experience needed 

  • Excellent IT skills – Woocommerce, WordPress, basic HTML, skype/slack, dropbox, excel, G-Suite and ability to pick up new programmes quickly 
  • Good phone manner 
  • Ability to convey written and verbal messages clearly and in line with our values 
  • Ability to organise your work, multitask and prioritise

Hours 

9-5 from min 25 hours up to full-time on Monday to Sunday. 


Customer Support Assistant 

Salary – £20,000 pro rata

 This role is perfect for someone who loves helping people, is passionate about campervan adventures and works well in a responsive high paced environment. It will involve delivering our very high level of customer service to both campervan owners and customers. It includes responding to customer enquiries through email, telephone, livechat and social media. 

We may also ask you to undertake other tasks as and when they arise. Flexibility, good organisation and attention to detail are therefore essential. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Responding to customer enquiries by email, telephone and website livechat 
  • Developing systems, processes and policies 
  • Dealing with complaints and acting as an arbiter between customers and owners 
  • Ad hoc admin tasks as required 

Skills and experience needed 

  • Excellent phone manner 
  • Strong writing skills and ability to convey messages in line with our values 
  • Good IT skills – internet, email, skype, dropbox, excel and ability to pick up new programmes quickly 
  • Ability to organise your work, multitask and prioritise

Marketing Assistant 

Salary – £23,400 pro rata

Is writing about and looking at pictures of beautiful handmade campervans your dream job? This role requires exceptional writing skills and an interest in campervans and travel. In what is set to be the year of the staycation, we are looking for an addition to the marketing team to help us make the most of the opportunities that this year will bring. 

While the role will primarily focus on marketing, we want every member of our team to understand our customers better by spending regular time on the ‘front line’ responding to telephone and email enquiries.

Creativity and the ability to manage your own time and work are essential to this role.

Responsibilities and Duties may include but are not limited to

  • Regular blogging on our website
  • Pitching and writing guest blogs for other sites
  • Responding to queries from press including supplying relevant statistics, information and images
  • Writing headline descriptions for new vans
  • Putting together monthly newsletters and sales emails
  • Coordinating e-book rewrites
  • Identifying and writing award submissions
  • Managing the shared marketing inbox

Skills and experience needed 

  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to adopt our tone of voice
  • Ability to organise your work, multitask and prioritise 
  • Experience writing with search engine optimisation in mind is strongly desirable
  • Strong aesthetic and ability to select beautiful and relevant imagery
