At Bombora Campers, we have a deep passion for converting camper-vans. Our journey began in 2020, just after lockdown, and we’ve been dedicated to this craft ever since. This past summer was particularly busy for us, with bookings secured six months in advance. As a small team of just two, we chose to focus on fulfilling our commitments rather than advertising, ensuring we maintained high-quality service.
We specialise in converting Citroen Relay’s, Peugeot Boxer’s, and Fiat Ducato’s—our favourite models due to their spacious, boxy design that easily accommodates a standard double bed laid widthwise.
However, we have experience with a wide range of vehicles, from Vauxhall Combos, Vauxhall Vivaro’s and MWB Transits. We pride ourselves on tailoring conversions to fit your lifestyle, budget, and specific needs. Our goal is to keep prices affordable, allowing everyone the chance to experience the freedom of van life. We achieve this by maintaining quality while adjusting the level of features included. For instance, if you don’t need a large solar panel or extensive battery system, we can create a simpler setup that suits your needs—like a basic system to charge your phone while stealth camping. We always consult with you to find ways to meet your budget, ensuring you only invest in what you truly need. Our smaller battery systems outperform many larger systems because we use top-quality components from specialised suppliers.
We currently have an opening for a new build, which will be completed by end of April. You have two options for customising your build with us: a fixed-price package that can include the van, or your can supply your own van, with our highly favoured interior – allowing you to choose your colour scheme, tiles and make adjustments to bed height or furniture. We welcome any changes that do not impact the overall cost of the build. We do however welcome changes depending on where we are at in the build and will quote accordingly to those changes made. For example, a larger, more extensive battery system.

One of our most popular setups is designed for versatility. It accommodates four people comfortably, featuring a fixed double bed, a fully functional kitchen with ample workspace, and an outdoor heated shower—ideal for rinsing off after a surf or giving your dog a bath. The corner sofa converts into a single bed, making it perfect for families. One satisfied client, a family of four, even added a car seat in the middle of the van to ensure safe seating, which can be easily unbolted and stored when not in use. This thoughtful design is why this build is so highly favoured.
