Located in Newton Abbot, South Devon, Home Sweet Campers Ltd is the creation of Gareth and Katie. We’re passionate about building bespoke, sustainable campervans that are built to last.
At Home Sweet Campers, we are open to all conversions, but especially love converting Small and Medium Wheelbase vans, in particular using Relay/Boxer/Ducato base vehicles.
Whether you’re a weekend warrior heading to the crag, or planning longer road trips chasing waves or walking trails, we build your van to match your lifestyle – rugged, practical, and beautiful.
We pride ourselves on craftsmanship and sustainability. All our furniture is designed and made in-house – mostly by hand, and some using our CNC machine – giving each build a unique and personal touch. We work with high-quality, FSC-approved Birch Plywood, Hex Birch Plywood, and Poplar Plywood, ensuring a natural, durable and eco-conscious finish. You’ll see some creative details in our work too, like our custom made Topography Wall Panels.
We understand everyone has different needs and budgets, which is why we work with you to prioritise what matters most – whether it’s storage, comfort, off-grid capability, or clever design – without compromising on quality.
We’re committed to building strong relationships with our customers, so why not come and visit our friendly workshop in Newton Abbot – just outside Exeter and only a 20-minute walk from the train station. Once your van is complete, you’re already in the perfect place to explore the stunning outdoors – Dartmoor, Teignmouth, Torquay are all just a short drive away.
