With the recent surge in popularity of hand-crafted campervans, New Zealanders are coming to us as a source of inspiration and information so we’ve been running a series of virtual workshops to give aspiring van owners the confidence to make their dream a reality.

This workshop is all about carpentry and materials. We’ll cover:

• Various types of timber… engineered, solid and reclaimed and how they are commonly used
• Other useful materials like carpet, vinyl and ACM
• The essential tools you’ll need (and the toys you might want to buy!)
• Carpentry joints and fixings for form and function
• Bringing it all together to create things like kitchen cabinets, a bed or a shower room!
