Barbara is a two-berth conversion with a surprising amount of standing room, at 1.82m of interior height, so most people can move about without stooping. She is laid out for two people who want to cook properly, sleep well and take the dog.
Sleeping: a fixed bed across the back of the van at 153cm wide by 173cm long, which is queen width but shorter than standard. Sleep the other way and it extends to 173cm by 200cm, giving a full king. Either way it is a deep memory foam mattress. Blackout curtains and tinted windows for privacy, with overhead storage.
Living and dining: two facing bench seats with a pull-out table for meals or working.
Kitchen: a two-burner gas stove that swings out on an arm for cooking outdoors, a 30 litre fridge drawer, a slide-out pantry, a wine rack, a large sink and an electric pump tap.
Bathroom: a portable toilet stored under one of the bench seats and usable in place. A gas-heated outdoor shower and ensuite shower tent are available.
Water: a 62 litre fresh water tank and a 67 litre grey water tank, both with level gauges.
Power: a roof-mounted solar panel feeding a leisure battery, which runs the lights, fridge drawer, diesel heater, water pump and USB sockets. Electric hook-up is fitted for campsites, with multiple 240V sockets.
Comfort: a diesel heater.
Living extras: a projector pull-down screen for film nights.
For the dog: a cubby under the bed that opens out through the back of the van.
Outdoors: a 3m by 2m awning.
In the cab: two seats with three-point belts and USB charging.
