‘Panther’ was designed over 6 months ago specifically for travelling to Big Art Exhibitions throughout the UK. The logo will be removed. The garage space is huge to safely accommodate fine art paintings. The sleeping space is a whopping fixed King Size Bed. We wanted the inside space to feel like a Scandinavian luxurious wooden lodge to relax after a busy day on an art exhibition stand. It has brand new fittings including cooker with hob, fridge that can hold full bottles of water and wine/beer, plus a freezer section for ice cream! The sink is compact but perfectly designed to allow a seating area and table. Underneath are cleverly hidden luxury seats should you wish to bring another two passengers. There is also an additional driving clip for a four pawed pal. The lighting is again about practical but also essential mood setting with book reading lights by the head of the bed and selective led coloured lights above the sink and cooker area. Panther includes latest state of the art equipment with a powerful 1200w inverter multi plus. As an artist I also do digital painting and wanted to run both a PC and touchscreen artist pad. I calculated that it would give me up to an impressive 11 hours of power on the fully charged inverter. There is also solar panel technology. The heating and hot water runs on gas. It costs approx £13 to fill the underneath gas tank and lasts ages. Panther heats up very quickly with two air ducts. (bottom of the bed and behind the driver seat) There is an outside shower which is really handy if you need to clean your boots or four legged friends from muddy walks. Safety wise there is a fire extinguisher in one of the overhead lockers. Also a carbon monoxide alarm. In the large garage part you can see and access switches and gauges for the gas, electricity etc.. There is also a charging cable and brand new vacuum cleaner in there. The driving area also has no expense spared with two brand new swivel leather seats. Both have heaters installed. (of course!) There is a new steering wheel and gear stick. Mercedes recently recalled Sprinters because of concerns over the air bags. This has been changed for you. There is a new touch screen installed for mirror link, wifi, satnav, bluetooth, gps, FM and reversing camera. There is a fantastic Wolf Box Mirror that connects to the touch screen. Once you experience you will not want to be without. There are also front parking sensors fitted. Although we decided to convert into a 2007 Sprinter, it looks and feels like a brand new one. We resprayed the original blue with a stunning 2 tone black finish. It has new carpets as well as the wooden design throughout the floor and ceiling space. Unusually it is an AUTOMATIC which makes the driving experience far more relaxing. The seats tilt and lift like a luxury vehicle. The low milage also reflects that this van has been lovingly taken care of over the years. The few rusted areas have been removed or replaced by Harpers Vans who did the conversion over 6 months. There is also lots of space with overhead lockers and drawers. Last year the economic downturn resulted in two very disappointing big art fairs at Harrogate and Edinburgh. The expense of attending these events with poor sales meant that we had to rethink our strategy and sadly sell the van once it had been fully converted. We hope it goes to a happy home. A lot of love and creative energy has gone into making Panther very special.
