Family Campervan Hire

Why choose to hire a campervan for your next family holiday?

There are a lot of reasons why a trip in a campervan is the perfect family holiday. Being a parent is hard enough without worrying about packing the kitchen sink or pitching tents late at night. Campervanning not only takes the hassle out of setting up camp, but it’s also an opportunity for you to create special memories. If you are looking for the ultimate family campervan hire, look no further than Quirky Campers. Wanting to venture further afield? Find inspiration in CEO’s David and Lindsay’s European family adventure in Frida.

What kind of campervans do you have that are suitable for families?

Just as no two families are the same, you will find that no two of our campervans are identical. Each one has been designed by a family for their family and others. So whether you’re a small family looking for a cosy base or a large family seeking space, we’ve got you covered.  You will find a whole array of bed setups, from triple bunks to pods. While others have king-size beds you can all snuggle in together. And if your kids seem to end each day covered head to toe in mud, you’ll love our campervans with heated indoor showers.

Don’t like driving large vehicles? No problem. Take one of our pop-top compacts like Justin, or electric campervans E-Dub Maggie and Lecky. Travelling with big kids? Take a look at some of our campervans with full-size double bunks like Dora, Bear or Roma.

So whatever you’re after, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll help you choose the best camper for your needs.

What else do I need to know?

Just because your days of pitching up with a tent are over, doesn’t mean your outdoor adventures are over. Exploring in a campervan means your family can connect with the great outdoors whilst having everything you need to live comfortably at your fingertips. You can even add extras to your booking like bedding, towels and camping furniture for that added convenience.

And remember, in our campervans, you don’t even need to be constrained to a campsite, why not try wild camping?

All of our campervans come with full insurance and breakdown cover, plus weighbridge certificates and gas safety certificates supplied by all our owners. So unlike other campervan rental platforms which have no quality control or safety assurance, we go that extra mile to save you from a nasty surprise. Still have questions?  Read all our FAQs here.

Dora was not only a joy to drive but also a pleasure to live in. She came fully furnished, with all the necessary accessories readily available for cooking, cleaning, and relaxing. Comfortable, spacious, and easy to maintain, Dora provided everything we needed for a perfect getaway. We all had a wonderful weekend and created some fantastic memories. Dora behaved impeccably throughout the trip—no complaints, no drama, and she even managed to get us there and back without asking, "Are we nearly there yet?" Thank you, Dora, for being the perfect travel companion and home away from home. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure together. See you again soon, Dora – try not to miss us too much! 🚐😊

We hired Everest in Bristol. Great van from a super friendly couple. It has been well stocked and well looked after. Would recommend. Airport pickup was a bonus.

Bluebelle was absolutely brilliant and made our Shindig Festival weekend so comfortable. We were two adults and two children, and there was plenty of space for all of us. You can tell a huge amount of thought has gone into every detail. We loved the clever pump sink, and were amazed at how long the water lasted. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the van, including the magnetic picture that transforms into a blind, which we thought was such a lovely idea. The bed over the cab was fantastic and really helped maximise the space. We didn't get a chance to use the stove because we were lucky enough to have a heatwave, but it would make Bluebelle incredibly cosy on cooler evenings. Despite the hot weather, we stayed cool and comfortable throughout our trip. Everything was clean, well organised and easy to use. Bluebelle is a beautiful campervan, full of character and practical features. We'd happily hire her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable campervan adventure. Louise

We rented Everest for a half term mid week trip to the Peak District. We had an excellent time and enjoyed the van life. Charlotte and Michael were very helpful and were quick to answer our questions.

I really enjoyed my stay in Thelma , plenty of room to have 3 beds up permanently at the same time as a proper table & chairs. I would rent her again.

We were forced to make a last minute booking and the both the Team at Quirky Campers and the owners were really communicative and helpful. Thank you. We've hired a number of vans before. Here is our review of Solveig. "Perfect. Solveig is a robust van with absolutely everything we needed. She drove brilliantly - smooth and economical. The handover was great and Matt was thorough in explaining everything to us. We had lots of space, a really comfy bed, plenty of water - hot and cold, outside shower (she has both internal and external shower, but we opted for al fresco and use the inside for storage). The fridge was really efficient and kept everything cool. We had 6 nights fully off grid and didn't need hook-up at all and just needed to empty water once. Brilliant! Awning, super-comfy reclining outdoor chairs, table and loads of other accessories - fab. Oh, a final word on the lighting. Great internal lights. Magical. We really stood out in a field full of vans and she got a lot of attention - all good of course. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Perfect for exploring the South of England or beyond, with easy access into the continent. Thanks, Matt & Emma" - and everyone at Quirky Campers. See you next adventure!!

The camper van was clean and well organised with the thinks you need. Charlotte was responsive in the pre-hire period and even with a question when we were away. We were given a complete run through on how everything worked. Everything was as expected from what was advertised in the web site. If you are 2 adults I would recommend not sleeping on the bed within the camper van as this is more suited to children, it's very hard.

Florence is an absolutely amazing camper and her owners Paul and Lisa are absolutely amazing as well. I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend anyone book Florence if they want to be offgrid or on and have all the amenities as well. Having a full oven made a huge difference and having a toilet and shower was so convenient. Florence is a beautiful , capable ,safe easy to drive camper combine that with the ease of communication and clarity of instructions from Paul makes this a win-win situation. Paul was extremely easy to communicate with and sent over an easy to read , functional set of instructions for Florence prior to my arrival so I felt quite at home and capable of driving Florence straightaway. I've started making plans to come back to to the UK next year and book Florence again
