Quirky Campers recognises that customers may be concerned about fuel supply disruption affecting UK travel plans. For qualifying cancellations, Quirky Campers will provide a 100% refund where a customer cancels before the booking start date due to a qualifying UK-wide fuel shortage event.
This policy applies to both existing and future bookings on the Quirky Campers platform, as long as the booking has not yet started and the cancellation request meets the criteria below.
- Official government announcements or travel advisories prevent travel, or
- Quirky Campers has determined, based on official announcements, credible travel advisories and widespread public reporting, that there is a UK-wide fuel supply disruption significant enough to activate this policy.
This policy is based on the availability of fuel, not the cost of fuel. Rising fuel prices alone do not qualify.
To qualify:
- the cancellation request must be made in writing to Quirky Campers
- the cancellation request must be made before the booking start date
- the cancellation request must be made no earlier than 28 days before the booking start date
- the qualifying event must relate to the UK only
Eligibility will be determined at Quirky Campers’ discretion, based on official government announcements, credible travel advice, and widespread public reporting at the time.
Where a cancellation qualifies, the customer will receive a full refund of all sums paid for the booking.
All cancellations that do not qualify under this policy remain subject to Quirky Campers’ standard cancellation policy.
