Interior layout:

The van has been despokely designed with storage, comfort and flexibility in mind.

With a large L shaped sofa that easily pulls out into a small double bed, there is plenty of space to relax and recline, and the bed is spacious and comfortable. The double swivel seat provides yet more sociable seating and is easy to spin into position.

The large sofa bed had ample storage underneath in both compartments. The largest section has gas sprung hinges to keep it open for easy access. It’s a very large space suitable for storing bedding, sports or beach equipment. The smaller bench at the back can be accessed by lifting the lid or via the back of the van, so great for easy to reach items.

For other storage, there is a cupboard and worktop unit which includes access to the underneath via a removable slat, as well as magnetic close doors in the main cupboards allowing it to store all kitchen items. There are also 3 shelves, perfect for cutlery drawers or smaller items, and above the unit there are small wall mounted shelves, as well as a plate holder on the wall on the opposite side. Lastly there are two hanging magazine racks on the side of the sofa and a large ikea box which fits snuggly behind the seat. An electric cooler box fits nicely on top of this, or you could remove the storage bin and install a fridge unit. There are electric sockets (including usb and 12 volt power outlet) right behind here.

There are no fixed cooking facilities or tables in the van, which make it ideal for maximum flexibility, allowing you to cook and eat outside of you wish. There is surface space and room for stand alone tables if you want to use them. There is a hand-pump tap on the back of the cupboard unit, with a water container underneath. Although there is no waste water or sink (as we opted to maximise surface and storage space) this sink can be used over a bowl or simply pivoted to pump over the ground. Ideal for quick hand washes or access to water for drinking or cooking.

The upholstery is fun and tasteful, matching the orange exterior and brightening up the dark carpets and floor. The sofa cushions are half memory foam and the covers remove for washing. The roller blinds in a complimentary fabric are totally blackout and popper shut so they are flush to the windows. When accomanied by the blackout windscreen cover, lie-ins far beyond sunrise are easy to enjoy.

Lastly, this van has been designed to work as both a day van as well as for camping and with that, a priority was being able to see views out of the back, unlike many designs which block the back up. This means that even if you only have a few hours, you can park up in a great spot, open the tailgate and take in the views, whilst feeling you have the place to yourselves!

Awning:

The drive away awning was purchased in 2023 from Amazon for around £350. It’s a fairly basic design that is easy to put up. It was a spacious main compartment and a bedroom compartment at the back suitable for two people. It has only been used 3 times and is perfectly functional although it may have some minor signed of wear due to some wet and windy conditions on its last outing (which it stood up very well to). If you’re looking for extra living or sleeping space, this will be very useful, and we’re throwing it in at no extra charge!
