I bought this lovely reliable camper in 2020, and have had 3 excellent years doing the travelling I wanted to do, so it is time to hand on to the next keeper. Talbots have a similar feel and vibe to them as VW Type 25s, so as easy to drive around town as a long tour, but being slightly larger (also bigger than a Bongo) the Autosleeper factory conversion has 12V leisure battery & 240V hook-up, Calor Gas, 82l Water Tank & Shurflo Water Pump, with the hob & grill, fridge, water heater, shower, toilet, heater and plenty of storage cupboards very well fitted. The conversion is high enough to walk around in.
The seats convert into a comfortable lower-bed, and two solid boards over the cab are slid back to convert the top double-bunk (maybe cramped for 2 adults, but fine for 2 children; we put a mattress cover on top for a bit of extra comfort). Also, in my opinion, being much younger than T25s, less of the rust and mechanical issues, meaning you can set off on a 5hr drive to Cornwall or the Lake District, as we have, sure of getting there; we drive about 60mph, but it will do 70mph, at 35 miles per gallon. £220 insurance with Adrian Flux.
It was serviced and passed it’s MOT in April, with several years service history, I wouldn’t expect it to need any servicing until the next MOT. It has no mechanical issues, it won’t lose value, and will go and go.
