Hilda is her name and she runs well for a van this age. She has done some miles but don’t let that put you off. She’s a steady workhorse. Reliable and never let me down.
She is well looked after with yearly services as part of MOT work. The last MOT was in Sept 2024 and passed without any problems. I have receipts for all the work since the van was purchased in 2017. I can copy these and include them as part of the sale. And if you want a brief history of the work then I am more than happy to send a list of dates and what was done.
She is an ideal weekend van but I have also had regular trips up to Scotland, the Lakes and North Wales, spending weeks living out of her and having grand adventures. I’m only selling as she isn’t getting used as much now. She needs someone who will take her away on adventures and pay her some attention.
She has two captain chairs and the passenger chair swings around to provide extra seating and space when parked up.
There is a leisure battery with two sockets under the driver seat. Happy to include the plug converter as part of the sale. It has a Pioneer DAB Radio with CD and USB & Bluetooth connections. There is also a reverse camera but that isn’t wired up.
It is a Kitline kitchen with a two-ring hob and sink, with a freshwater kit to pump water into the tap, and with water storage under the sink.
The table is removable and there is plenty of storage for food in the kitchen area, as well as cupboards for clothes etc. There is also additional storage under the bed.
If you want to do a test drive then you will need to show insurance documents that indicate you are covered, otherwise, I’d be happy to take you for a drive in it.
The first conversion work was done in January 2017 and included two new side windows and back door windows, insulation and lining, electrics & a leisure battery under the driver’s seat and lighting.
Further conversion work was done in October 2020 by MAD Workshop in Bristol. They took out the full-width bed and added a Kitline kitchen and living area, as well as the Sawmill CNC bed.
The Kitline Design kitchen cost £1335 at the time and includes the RHS Dometic Smev 9722 Hob/Sink Combination, a Dometic CRX50 & Fresh Water Kit to get water through, a removable table and cupboard space for clothes etc.
It is a Sawmill C&C 120 Phenolic bed that costs £389 and sleeps two.
They are genuine VW T5 Captain seats, driver and passenger, with a swivel on the passenger costing over £1000.
