Mercedes Sprinter 316 CDI LWB (2.143 cc)
The van is a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 314 CDI LWB, Diesel, 6 speed manual with very low mileage at just under 37k miles. 12 months MOT (passed May 2024 with no advisories) and a full service also in May 2024. She has had a new starter motor installed in February 2024. There are some minor dents in the plastic front bumper due to my lacklustre parking abilities with a grassy verge, but otherwise she is in great condition and ready for your next adventure.
‘Pebble’ is a Mercedes Sprinter LWB Conversion from Indigo and Olive (http://www.indigoandolive.co.uk) that has seen numerous upgrades for the digital nomad and true off-grid explorer. We are reluctant to sell her due a relocation! She is filled with many happy memories and is ready for her next adventure.
The conversion is inspired by Japanese design & Feng Sui, the perfect blend between aesthetics and functionality. We’ve found this layout works really well when you’re living in a tiny home on wheels as you can walk through the entire van by day to make use of the whole space.
As you walk through the side door you enter the kitchen / bathroom area, underneath all of the handmade wooden slatted doors resides a Dometic 3 way Fridge, Thetford Oven & a 2 burner gas hob. There are hidden details like a spice rack, draws, shelves and bespoke copper taps. The large shower is also the perfect spot for discrete use of the Thetford portable toilet.
Two low rise walls lead you into the large seating / bedroom area, the large sofa turns into one big bed super easily, by pulling out a top draw from one side to join the other bench. If you were to leave it like this you would have a small double with a remaining seating area and swivel table.
If you detach the table and put it in the remaining gap, the bed turns into a huge 6ft * 5ft8 bed, big enough for three. There’s a lovely lookout window in this area and a nice cosy nook underneath the bed suitable for any dog owners. This houses lots of storage space and a 100L fresh water tank refillable from outside.
You never need to worry about power with 4 x 100ah Lithium batteries installed under the passenger seat, 400 watt solar panel on the roof, Votronic 70ah DC changing converter, and Votronic Solar regulator. There is also a 2k watt pure sine wave inverter to run your favourite household appliances. Lighting is in the form of discrete custom LED lights as well as dimmable spotlights and there are USB ports throughout the van.
Stay cosy and comfortable with a very efficient externally mounted MVAiro2 Diesel heater controlled by a thermostat for staying snug on those chilly nights and mornings. The sink and shower have hot water which, with the cooking appliances, runs off of an underslung LPG tank, refillable from the outside. Within 5 minutes you have warm water and 15 minutes for very hot!
The roof has been mounted with a retractable dish for satellite internet with coverage throughout Europe through a provider such as IPcoper/viasat. Given the recent innovations with satellite internet technology, we now prefer to use Starlink. The roof-top dish can easily be removed and we have included our Starlink hardware boxed as an alternative.
