The kitchen and bench were designed by us and installed by Contour Campers 2 years ago – all still in top notch condition and working wonderfully. The bench is designed to allow for ventilation for the fridge which is under the bench.
The gas, electrics and water pump were all also updated and installed by Contour Campers and we’ve had no issues – everything has worked smoothly. There is a gas locker fitted within the kitchen unit to hold a 3.9 Kg gas canister.
The fridge is a 12 v compressor fridge and works amazingly with little noise- you can have cold beers within 20-30 mins of switching it on even on eco mode!
The battery life from the x2 leisure batteries lasts a long time- we’ve had it stationary for 4+ days without turning the engine on and had the fridge on consistently + use of taps / electric and it still didn’t run the battery flat.
The pull out bed, additional cupboards/ storage, removable table and storage stool were all installed by ourselves over the last year. All made with beautiful birchwood plywood, varnished with osmo polyx oil and painted with farrow and ball.
There is also bespoke upholstery for the bench and curtain.
The top notch insulation and wood panelling keep it really warm and cosy, even during winter we never needed a heater- once you’ve got a kettle boiling it gets super cosy and stays warm with log cabin feels! The insulation is made of x2 layers of styrofoam and packed with earth wool insulation in between layers.
