About the Campervan

Electric hook up for mains supply powers heating and three further 240V sockets. Dune is supplied with an outdoor 240V hook up cable, which is easy to use on a campsite.
While Dune is a great choice for off-grid adventures, the heating is currently only powered by mains, which requires an electric hook-up. The electric coolbox can be powered by mains hook-up, the inverter when driving, or off-grid (a full charge will last about 24hrs).

Conversion Story: Dune started off as a work van carrying survey equipment to and from boats. Its current owner Joe was in the right place at the right time when his work decided to upgrade their fleet and Dune went up for sale. Converting a van was something that its owners Joe and Reti often dreamed of, and when this opportunity presented itself it was too good to pass up. A lot of love and hard work was put into turning this works van into the cosy home on wheels it is today.
A trusty friend, Dune has discovered most of Scotland, a lot of England, and as its longest journey driven through Europe to the shores of the Baltic Sea in Estonia.
Its owners have experienced some of their happiest moments in life with Dune, and are excited to be able to offer it to you for your next adventure making incredible memories.
During the conversion Dune’s owners wanted to limit the need for new materials to make it as low impact as possible. For example you will notice that the beautifully finished kitchen countertop is actually made of recycled scaffolding boards, which have also been used for the base of the bed. Sheep’s wool has been used for some of its insulation. A lot of the quirky little details in Dune have originally lived elsewhere before making their way to the van, such as doorknobs and some of the wood used for shelves. Yet together they help create a cohesive and cosy look. Dune is a handcrafted campervan and may not be suitable for someone seeking a luxurious campervan holiday. It is a true Quirky Camper and would love someone who can appreciate its beauty.
