1971 VW T2 Bay Window Camper Van
A growing family has forced a reluctant sale of our precious Camper Van “Vanmoose”.
We have spent a lot of time and money renovating her to how you see her today. She has always been a “rolling project” and although not quite finished she is good to go straight away this summer.
MOT and Tax exempt.
Engine:
1600cc Stock engine which was replaced by the previous owner about 10 years ago. Since we brought it we have fitted or renovated many new parts including:
• Stainless Steel Exhaust
• New alternator/generator (replacing the old dynamo)
• New fuel pump
• Heat exchangers have all been repaired
• Tin ware around the engine repaired
• New battery trays
Other work completed:
• Replaced all of the bottom sills
• New out riggers
• Repaired large areas of the floor
• New calipers, discs, pads etc on the front
• Replace drums etc on the back
• New front doors both sides
• Sliding door renovated
• Repaired remaining rust from the body work (except for wheel arches, see below)
• DIY respray
• All seals around the windows replaced
• Gas struts for the pop top replaced along with all of the seals
• New head liner
• New stereo and speakers with radio, CD, audio jack input and USB port
• Fitted leisure battery and Sergeant battery controller
• Fitted Waeco Fridge (with freezer compartment)
• New full width and confortable rock and roll style bed with fitted cushions
• Fitted MG front seats for a comfortable ride
• New main battery and nearly new leisure battery
Still to do:
• Front wheel arches were replaced by the previous owner these are the wrong ones for the year of the van. I have replacements for them but not fitted. These will be included in the sale (unfitted)
• I have sprayed the van myself as I’ve gone along, whilst it is perfectly serviceable it will need finishing off if you wanted a perfect finish (van priced with this in mind).
