Hymer B544 (Citroen C25 base)

We bought our 1992 Hymer B544 as an upgrade on our VW T25. We have three kids so needed something that could comfortably sleep five. More modern 5-berth vans are HUGE so can be stressful to drive. This van is compact yet spacious inside thanks to the awesome Hymer swing-down double bed above the cab.
Unfortunately itβs now time to sell βHomer the Hymerβ as our kids have grown up and are no longer so interested in hanging out with us in our van!
Hereβs a little bit more detail about the van:
We bought the van from Somerset Motorhomes in 2017 so it came with a recent service, a new MOT and a habitation check, ensuring all electrics and gas appliances worked correctly, as well as things like blinds, toilet, sink and fold-down beds etc.
Weβve looked after it carefully and everything is still working perfectly β including the gas fire, which we recently used on a cold, wet trip around Wales. Last year we actually got a new habitation check, a new leisure battery installed and damp reading. There was ZERO damp picked up.
The exterior of the van is in very good condition. No bumps or scratches. It has a bike rack on the rear and also a solar panel on the roof that keeps the leisure battery charged. This has never come close to running out of power on our trips and is a massive bonus for charging phones etc.
Weβve enjoyed some great trips in this van around Ireland and the UK without ever having a problem. It has only done 73,000 miles so has many more trips to go.
A big plus for this van is that it has just passed the very strict Northern Ireland MOT (now valid until November 2022). This is completely different to the English tyre-kicking system and puts the van through a very strict set of tests, including:

There is a spacious double bed with a memory foam mattress, which swings down from above the driver’s seat area. (A Hymer speciality.)
There is a single bed which is the side bench seat.
The dining table then folds down and the two bench seats form a large double bed.
