Conversion Description

WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS,

Lovely 2016 Peugeot Boxer Disability Minibus converted Camper van WHICH IS LEGALLY REGISTERED AS A MOTORHOME and will seat up to five people (includes 2 rear seats) comfortably including the wheelchair user and will also sleep four by the use of a mattress under the raised bed and has the major benefit of two sliding side doors enabling not just plenty of airflow through the van, but also having the wind out awning up on one side of the van and a drive away awning on the other gives a huge amount of living space overall and creates a wealth of potential and the ramp also makes for a great decking area of which I have even fished from parking up at a lake, which beats a tent any day.

WILL COME WITH A NEW MOT.

ALSO IT CAN BE DRIVEN ON A NORMAL CAR LICENCE! (3500kg)

I’M AN ANTIQUES DEALER AND HAVE USED IT FOR FAIRS ETC BUT A NORMAL VAN MEANS I CAN ALSO TAKE LARGER PIECES TO THE ANTIQUE FAIRS,THOUGH ITS VERY NICE HAVING THE HOME COMFORTS.

(YOU CAN SEE THE SPECIFICATION OF THE VEHICLE ABOVE WHICH INCLUDES THE WEBASTO DUCTED HEATING SYSTEM WHICH RUNS STRAIGHT OFF THE VANS TANK SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO CARRY FUEL WITHIN THE VAN,MUCH SAFER!).

Equipment :
12V Lighting, 240V Lighting, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Awning, Blinds, CD Player, Central Heating, Cooker, Handicapped Accessible, Hand Washbasin, Mains Hookup, Oven, Radio, Sink, Solar System, Sunroof, TV, TV Aerial

We purchased this lovely van in May 2019 with it having only covered app 24,800 miles at the time of purchase, with its current mileage having just turned over 35,000 (will increase only slightly with occasional use) and was converted over a six month period by myself so as to be able to take my Father out and about in his wheelchair and the odd weekend away while he was still able to enjoy getting out and about. I converted my own van some 29 years ago when I was 30,so long before this current camper craze all took off.

There was a lot of consideration to the layout and conversion of this vehicle to make it as practical as possible for both the wheel chair user and able bodied person alike to use whilst away.

There isn’t anything too high tech as we wanted it to be as straight forward, easy to use and uncomplicated as possible yet still have plenty of character,as soon as you open the doors there is ALWAYS a comment of how nice it is which goes down well as most conversions are from a box and are of a standard layout.

Sadly my Dad passed away last year and the van is only used to run around locally just to give it some use,it just seems a bit of a waste doing that,so very reluctantly it’s up for sale.

We only ever used it for the odd week / weekend away and odd days out and never felt the need to take up valuable space with a permanently fixed fridge and found the 12 volt coolbox perfectly adequate for our needs which sat between the two front seats. It also has a barely used toilet which is hidden away and easily accessible for both wheelchair user and able body person alike.
For showering we used a gas powered camping shower which hooked up in the back with curtains to close the back off and the wheel chair user on the ramp, then lowered down, showered and freshened up and then back into the van ready for the day ahead.
There is probably loads of bits and bobs I’ve missed, but just drop us an E.mail and we will do our best to help.THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS LONG WINDED LISTING. (Ha-Ha).
