Our beloved van, Betty, is now up for sale – she is available to view from Friday 18 July. She’s taken us on a great trip around the UK and Europe without missing a beat. Big enough to live in long term but small enough to drive down country lanes and park up where you like, Betty is a wonderful van for short or longer trips. She was converted into a campervan approximately 2 years ago and is perfect for off-grid living. As my partner has carpentry skills, we refitted some of the interior this past year for a more rustic/homely finish that gives her plenty of charm and character, and to give some extra storage and enhance the layout. Fixed double bed, which is extremely comfortable with storage and handy shelving each side for phones at night (and access to 12v charging). The custom woodwork also provides a little privacy/separation from the main kitchen/living area.
The bed is raised with steps up to it and underneath is plenty of storage (comfortably accommodating 2 x mountain bikes + storage). This ‘garage’ space is accessible from either the interior of the van or the back doors. If you didn’t want or need all the storage space, you could set up a second bed here potentially, or a bed area for pets.
