VW Crafter
2.2 Turbo. 6 gears. Overall condition is Tidy. Some minor paint work on the front bumper could do with touching in but we are happy to do this on sale. We bought the van converted and have fine tuned and upgraded parts like adding extra deep sink and various things to make real usage a lot nicer. It recently Went in for a Mot and sailed straight through. We have records of work and servicing we have done to it since owning however only part service history from before us.
This is the perfect van for those long adventures.
The layout has been really well designed and the built in facilities make for a great weekend/ week away.
Once you are set up you walk straight into a lounge with all the front seats spun round to make a great sitting area with fold up tables for eating. Windows all around for great views.
The kitchen has an extra large deep sink which is great for washing pots in unlike a lot of camper van sinks!
Double gas hob, oven and grill are built in so you really can cook a great meal. An energy saver fridge runs off the vans leisure battery.
The toilet and shower room is enclosed in the middle of the van with a light and built in fan.
The rear of the van is the large double bed sitting about half way up. Its full size so plenty of space. If you have kids/teenagers then there is a fold down single bed above the double and the front lounge turns into a small single great for younger ones.
Below the double bed and accessed at the rear of the van is a large ‘Garage’ We use the left hand side for general bags/luggage and the right hand side for surfboards and sports equipment.
At the rear of the van there is a curved arch window viewed when the back doors are open and an instant hot shower for cleaning off after those outdoor activities.
Last summer we put a brand new Fiamma awning on the side which makes for a great sun shade in the summer but also in the drizzly weather it allows you to keep the sliding door open and still use the outside space.
The van has a 142ah Leisure battery with a split charge relay system. There is also an inverter and 240v hookup with a couple 3 pin plug sockets inside. The rooftop solar panel provides a noticeable charge on sunny days.
If we are been particularly demanding on the electrics we sometimes turn the engine on the give it a boost if there’s no sun.
Adding another battery may be a consideration for those who may want more power, there is room for this where we store the leisure battery but we have never felt the need.
The vans Truma gas hot water system is fantastic. With a 100l built in water tank it is more enough for washing up and hot showers. One point to note, it takes 15 minutes to prime the internal system for general usage.
We will sell the van with plenty of thrown in goodies to, folding chairs, folding external table, ground mat, all the kitchen gear etc so it really is ready to go and explore in for somebody.
Bad points. Draws could do with better travel catches, single fold down bed can be a bit tricky to use but easy once you have the hang of it. Give us a call or message on WhatsApp
Large double bed, single fold down ideal for a teenager or small adult. and a small single for Kids in the front lounge
