Sadly selling my 1982 Mercedess-Benz L-407D-KA.
Ex-German army bomb disposal vehicle, bought and imported to the UK in 2016. Currently there are just over 29,000 miles on the odometer on this classic ‘million mile engine’so nowhere close to being broken in. Around 21,000 miles was done on an airbase in Germany, 8000 miles done by myself here in the UK. It has been dry stored for its lifetime here in the UK.
After owning it for 10 years, I have moved house and currently have nowhere to park at my new location.
Quick rundown;
-29,195 miles on the engine (2.4 liter OM616)
– History from Germany and from its decade in the UK
-Converted to a camper, registered as a motorhome on V5C, 3.5 ton
-2KW windy smithy wood burning stove with dual insulated flue
-12v system with Rolls leisure battery
-Sink and LPG gas hob that have never been used.
-Historic vehicle from January 2025, no MOT or road tax needed although one will be provided with sale
-Large roofrack included
-Awning included
-5 speed gearbox included (never had the time to install)
-Couple of patches need to be done, I knocked out the filler that was cracked since I bought the truck to show in the pics. Other than those relatively easy patches everything else is healthy.
Bed raised and in the back of the van.
