VW T6 85TDI
Selling my beloved camper after several amazing years together travelling Europe. It was bought specifically to make the journey and now I would like someone else to get as much use from it as I did. Would suit a single traveller, or a couple. The base is the fantastically reliable and robust T6 VW van short wheelbase with the 1.9Tdi engine in base 85hp state. The van drives very well and is quite manageable on small roads and in cities. Over several thousand miles in Europe it never let me down. It has a full service history and it’s been driven with care.
Please note the vehicle is on the Isle of Wight and would necessitate a ferry trip to view/collect. I am not able to deliver the vehicle to the mainland.
Points to consider on the outside
– small stone chip of rust on bonnet
– some rust under fuel filler
– shot glass sized discolouration on driver’s door
– the solar panel is considered dated, but works fine if it’s bright
Points to consider on the inside
– everything works!
– new LED lights
– two full gas bottles (for cooking)
– pump for water to sink
– electric hook up wired in
– two leisure batteries (charged by engine/solar)
– the blind above the sink is permanently stuck in the down position
– bed is foam cushions on a wooden frame, suitable for 1 person
– seat belt mounting points are fitted if you want to change the bed
See photos. I bought the van used, and I don’t know the details of the conversion, but it was done professionally but not at the VW factory. The conversion is to a very high standard, aand all modifications and updates have been done by professionals.
The current bed is foam cushions on a wooden frame with storage underneath. There are mounting points for a rock’n’roll bed and seatbelts, so it would be an easy swap for a garage
