Inside, the current camper conversion includes five comfortable seats alongside built-in cupboards. Need more seats? All the cupboards are easily removable within 15 minutes, transforming the vehicle back to its original nine-seat capacity for when(like us) you need to transport a larger crew.
This campervan comes equipped with cruise control, air conditioning, electric wing mirrors, heated driver and passenger seats, parking sensors and three convenient car charger points (two in the front, one in the boot).
The car is manual and has 6 gears. It drives sensibly at around 38 mpg, with a mix of motorway and town driving.
Practicality is key with two sliding side doors and a lift-up tailgate that conveniently doubles as a rain cover – perfect for those impromptu outdoor stops.
My lovely 2-litre Ford Tourneo Custom is more than just a campervan; it’s a versatile companion for all our journeys. It does have a high mileage of 320,000 miles, but it was given a new engine at approximately 150,000 miles, ready for many more adventures. Its history includes just two owners: myself and a reputable travel company that used the vehicle for airport runs, accounting for its mileage, during which time any necessary work was carried out as soon as possible.
Important Notes on Condition:
In the spirit of full transparency, here are a few minor points to be aware of:
* There’s a dent on the tailgate and a scuff/dent on the back passenger side corner.
* The front passenger window is not currently working.
* The windscreen has a couple of minor cracks (present for the five years I’ve owned it, and they haven’t caused any issues).
* There’s a small electrical quirk: when you press the brake pedal, the onboard computer occasionally displays a “boot open” warning. This has been the case since I’ve had the vehicle and causes no functional problems.

This conversion has been lovingly made to fit the units in while not having to remove any of the 9 seats, due to family needs.
While the units are in place 5 seats are available for use, but they can be easily be removed within 15 minutes.
The units are constructed from 15mm Birch plywood with an oak laminate to the visible faces for a more polished finish that can be wiped down.
All the units are bolted together to lock them in position and can easily be separated if need be.
The doors are fitted with cabinet hinges and all doors have hook catches to keep the doors closed in transit.
There is a fitted plastic bowl for the sink with a water container for filling it. Hot water can be made with a kettle or a gas camping hob.
A kettle along with a toaster and air fryer can be powered with a portable battery that fits perfectly into a couple of cupboards, located along the worktop run or in the boot, where it can be charged with the car charging point.
There are cutouts for wires to run into the cupboards so that all wires are hidden away when electrical items are in use.
The bed base is located in a storage unit behind the front seats. It folds out to lay on bearers along the folded down rear seats. A 10cm thick mattress is vacuum packed in one of the cupboards and is easily opened out and hooked over the base corners with the attached straps.
The boot has 2 fitted cupboards, which double up as seats to go with the fold up dining table.

You could fit 2 adults and a small child on this.
