Are you ready for a Spring/Summer 2024 adventure? This is the Campervan for you and it is good to go! A tasteful van conversion, but still the opportunity to put in your own personal touches if you wish. Due to a change of circumstances I’m needing a family car due to having a newborn baby. This is the sole reason for a reluctant sale as I really do love the convenience of the van and everything it has offered; especially it being a reliable everyday driver. Vehicle has a full service and MOT history and comes with the vehicles booklet/paperwork (read below for more detail).
Both back tyres were changed this week and both front tyres are like new ( they were replaced at the time of last service). All alloys are like new and in a lovely black finish (done professionally) and the van is free of any dents or rust. Passed MOT end of June with an advisory of front suspension arms showing wear (both since been replaced) and brake disk showing wear but not excessive. At the time I also had the front and rear brake pads replaced. Within the last year this has had a full service including a full oil change, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, sump washer and both front suspension lower arms were replaced (have the paperwork). In 2022 this van had a recall with Ford for a timing belt replacement which was carried out at the Ford Van dealership where again it had a full oil and filter change even though it wasn’t due a service, due to the nature of the replacement needing to empty the oil anyway. In 2020 there was a full service at Champion Vans before I bought it and prior to that in 2019 it had its first service at the Ford Approved garage.
The van comes with the official books and service history along with all the MOT’s it has had since I have owned the vehicle with invoices of any repairs.
Previously owned by a small business as a lease van which was then bought by a local van sales company who fitted aftermarket 18″ Load rated alloy wheels in gloss black and a full sport colour coded body kit before putting it up for sale. I then converted the van myself over lockdown as a project and to make my surf trips easier. No corners were cut as I imagined having the van long term, but as mentioned above my circumstances have changed and I’m now full time Dad!
Since the conversion it has been used as a campervan for a few weeks of the year (where I have stayed in it full time and to travel to work (local); throwing in trips to the beach to fuel my surf addiction. For reference a 9”2 longboard squeezes in the van resting on the headboard and any other mids fly in. However, the van has an EasyBars Strong Roof Rack with 3 Bars fitted and I can include the large capacity roof box for the asking price along with lots of extras listed below. The conversion allows the space to comfortably sleep two with huge amounts of storage for a SWB van. It has running water and plenty of electrical outlets, a portable toilet and I used to cook using a portable camping stove as I didn’t want any food smells in the van. There is space next to the sink to cook or you can use the drop down tables on the back door. Pet free and smoke free camper.
I am still driving this vehicle so mileage will be increasing slowly and the van is kept every night on a secure driveway.
Living Space
The skateboard mounts have been removed and the wood has been filled and painted.
The van is fully insulated throughout which includes soft polyester insulation for the cavities and finished off with YBS Airtec Reflective Double Insulation for the vapour seal. No metal is exposed through a mix of four way stretch grey fabric around the windows and doors and the rest of the van and ceiling is finished off with lightweight tongue and groove cladding. The ceiling, back doors and bed frame have been wood stained and the walls are painted with hard wearing paint in pastel blue (I can supply the tin for touch ups). The floor is insulated and ply lined with a hard wearing waterproof vinyl laid on top.
Easy to set up PLY sliding pullout bed made specifically for this van model to maximise space and comfort. The bed includes two large storage cupboards which are built in. I’m 6”1 and my partner is 5”7 and we both sleep comfortably. The mattress doubles as a day sofa and is made from high density upholstery foam that has been covered in high quality hard wearing upholstery fabric . It has only ever been used with sheets and probably used no more than 20 nights. Will include pillows and mattress if requested. The curtains which are machine sewed cover both the front and side dark tinted sliding window and match the sofa fabric for a fresh look.
At the front of the van there is a sliding door cabinet to maximise space which has a fitted Stainless Steel Sink (28cm) and with plug and Comet London tap that uses a 12lpm submersible pump which has its own isolated 12v circuit switch. This cabinet also houses;
– A portable toilet (included if required)
– 2x12L Water containers – one for fresh drinking water and one for the waste water collected from the sink.
– More storage space.
Back of the van includes cargo nets with extra storage and drop down tables. There are hooks at the front and rear of the van to allow a hammock to be used inside the van or from either of the back or side door.
