Fresh from its recent 7000 mile trip around the U.K. this 1998 converted Mercedes Ambiente with an average of 5000 miles a year on the clock. GILFORD has sailed through the last two MOT’s, the current MOT Is due to expire 20/06/23. It was fully serviced less than 10,000 miles ago at 114917 miles. It has plenty of service history. The vehicle is fully automatic and unusual in that it is a petrol engine.I purchased the vehicle in Feb 2019 from Camper Monsters in Guildford ( hence its name).
This is a converted Mercedes estate vehicle. Taxation class PLG. It has a pop up roof and bench seats making up a double bed.
The vehicle is 5 door, with a sliding door on each side. Opening the near side door in to the van there is a built in cabinet containing the gas bottle ( 907 size) with an air vent. The built in cabinets house a three ring gas hob and oven with grill. This cabinet has ample storage for food and kitchenware.
The cabinets on the other side house a sink with waste and water storage with access via the offside sliding door. There is an electric motor providing running water from the water storage area. There is storage under the sink as well as room to store barbecue/dog equipment in the water cupboard.
There is under seat storage facilities under all the three bench seats. The table in the middle collapses and the table top becomes part of the downstairs bed.The seats and the bench back rests when rearranged make the downstairs bed.
The pop up roof can be put up either by a couple or single handedly. The bed for the pop up can be pushed up allowing standing room in the van and has had new gas rods fitted in May 2022.
The van has hook up facilities and comes with both 10 and 25 metre hook up cables along with 240 volt 3 pin connector plug so the leisure battery can be charged whilst at home.
There are electric windows in the front and rear.
Fire extinguisher along with both fire and CO2 alarms fitted.
The pop up can sleep 2 as can the bench seating when it is converted.
