Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Don’t miss this opportunity to own a unique vehicle.

1977 Ministry of Defence Land Rover 101 fitted to ambulance specification by Marshall’s of Cambridge in 1982.

Professionally converted to bespoke camper van by Camper Van Warehouse https://www.campervanwarehouse.co.uk/ in 2018.

A truly go-anywhere camper.

We’ve had great fun with the 101 for the last 15 years but it is now time for it to find a new home. It’s a comfy, cosy camper that really turns heads that we will be sad to say goodbye to.

Registered as an Historic Vehicle so MOT, Road Tax and ULEZ exempt.

Starts and runs great.

The 101 was only made for three years between 1975 and 1978 – a total of less than 3000 vehicles, with a few hundred being converted to ambulances. Ours was assigned to 16 Armoured Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps and named RG Masters VC whilst in service. It was released from the MoD in 1998. A piece of military history and a real collector’s item.

Condition

Starts and runs great and ready to use (we are recently returned from an Easter camping trip).

As the 101 is coming up to its 50th birthday it is obviously showing it’s age a bit and needs TLC. And being a Land Rover, there are of course always lots of little jobs to do, but that is part of the fun.

It was last resprayed 10 years ago so is looking a bit tatty now and in need of a paint refresh.

Will supply with many original parts – air compressor, mirrors, tailgate steps etc if required – as well as manuals, paperwork and history.
