Nissan NV200 SE DCI 90
Selling my beloved camper, Neville the Nissan. Sadly arthitis and back issues mean I am just not using it anymore. Neville is a conversion of a Nissan NV200 car derived van. I bought in 2020 and converted it myself. Details of the van as follows:
Registered as Car Derived Van
1.5 turbo diesel engine, 5 speed manual
Originally 90 hp variant, remapped to 110hp, and insurance and dvla notified.
Around town I get 39mpg average, motorway driving around 45mpg, though when the M1 was almost all 50mph roadworks I was getting 48mpg 🤣.
Van was white, but I Vinyl wrapped the bottom half in blue as per the photos. There are a few small dings and scuffs, but nothing major or structural, that I am aware of.
The van comes with a factory fit reversing camera, but I also fitted a third party camera which I have permanently on to act like a rear view mirror.
4 new tyres (fronts fitted December, rears in April)
Towbar fitted with 7pin electrics.
MoT until August
Timing belt and water pump replaced this year 2025
Turbo replaced 2022
Gear box stripped, bearings replaced and rebuilt 2021
Clutch replaced 2021
All service history available since I purchased
Pre 2020 service history is a list of service dates from lease company.
In the interest of honesty, the only problem I am aware of is: if you press the clutch to the floor boards in fifth gear, the gear lever sticks in 5th, if you depress around 3/4 down it slips out no problem. It has always done this and has never got any worse. This was the reason I had a gear box specialist strip and rebuild the gearbox and replace the clutch in 2021. That made no difference, but I have done over 30k since and got used to not fully depressing the clutch.
The interior is in good condition, particularly the rear as that was stripped, and refitted as part of the conversion. Cab plastics and seats a little tired but no major stains or damage.
Audio, CD and bluetooth work well and I replaced the speakers in 2022. I also replaced the audio display in 2024 as this had gone dim with age.
Wind deflectors fitted to front windows, mainly so I can let some air in, but not the rain, while I am sleeping.
All in all it’s been a great little van, which has served as a great second home while visiting my boat in Dorset and various other adventures! Happy to answer any questions. A great little camper all ready to go for the summer.
The van is self converted from base of NV200 panel van. Fitted windows (one opening) in each of the sliding doors. Floor of 9mm ply, insulated and covered with vinyl flooring. All rear panels, doors and roof fully insulated with sound deadening rubber, 5cm artificial wool, and bubble foil. All fully moisture sealed using aluminium tape. All door panels and wall recesses fitted with 9mm ply. Walls and doors fully carpeted as per photos. Two seat rock and roll bed with two seatbelts. Side storage locker with padded seating lid, which forms part of full width bed when rock and roll seat is lowered in to bed. Side shelf with 20l Alpicool compressor fridge below. Shelf is covered with formica which I cook on using a regular camping stove (not included). A table is stored in one of the sliding doors, with a floor mount leg when in use. Below the rock and roll bed is a large storage box and space for the portable toilet, which is included and has never been used so as new( I tend to leave this at home and use the space for bags as I usually stay in campsites). There is also a long narrow storage box for the table leg and any other sundries. Storage also under driver and passenger seats. 5l water container and mains hookup cable stored below driver seat. 150w solar panel on roof, with two 75ah leisure batteries and split charger setup. There is a 2kw diesel heater plumbed in to the main diesel tank. 12v outlet in living area to power fridge( fed from leisure batteries so remains on when engine stopped). Two further 12v outlets in the cab. six 12v led lights in ceiling and 4 USB sockets. Thermal window covers included for all van windows including windscreen, as well as curtains between cab and living area. Fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector in living area. Small litter bin in rear.
106cm wide rock and roll bed, with upholstered side storage to make bed full width of van (135cm). Effectively a full double bed.
