Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Drives superb and body work shows not rust. A couple of minor imperfections in the panels but nothing that detracts from the looks. It is a white panel van beneath the custom vinyl wrap, the underlying paint is in good condition. It pulls brilliantly and with good fuel economy, upon testing the finished van a £130 tank took us from Oxfordshire to north of Glasgow!
It has been serviced, and during the conversion had a new windscreen (small crack) and new rear brake calipers.

Conversion Description

We have converted this van with a lot a careful thought on material choice, and our own experience of having adventures in wind, rain, sun and snow! This van is built as an off grid ready van allowing you to live in a beatiful space and experience all the thrill of chilling out on the roof deck under a starry sky, with all your kayaks, paddleboards, snowboards, skis and bikes on board.
The majority of materials used are reclaimed, recycled or sustainable – we have 100% cork in the floor, and insulating the bed area, we have non-chemically treated, uk grown timbers on the viewing platform, lighting bar and cladding, these have been treated and fire proofed using the japanese sugiban method of charring and oiling timbers. Plus van is insulated floor and ceiling, vapour membrance and recycled plastic fibre wool in the walls ensuring this van stays warm even on alpine trips, this van is ready to go to the alps for a skiing trip right now! Bespoke feather fabric thermally insulated blackout curtains roll over all windows fixing firmly into place using intergrated magnets, this includes a access hatch from the rear to the cab. The hatch is our favourite design feature, it means we retain the bulkhead that gives privacy from the front, and reduces heatloss through the front windows, but best of all it means if you need to move on in a hurry in the middle of the night (gales, lightning storms, flooding etc!) you don’t have to make your way outside the van to be able to drive away.
The inside is light and welcoming with plenty of space – this is really important to us, as trying to wrestle out of a wetsuit in the warm, or cleaning off dogs is very difficult in the standard ‘galley’ design. The space is created by integrating a unique fold down seat that fixes back to the unit with handcrafted leather straps and slide out double table that fits away in just 8cm of space, allowing a much larger shower area than often found in vans.
The hot shower room uses the full space possible as it is a handlaid fibreglass shell from floor to ceiling, so no panel joins to worry about, it’s finished in a rustic white sparkle top coat. There is brand new thetford porta loo (the largest protable loo they make), plus a heating vent in the shower area and waterproof vinyl pull down door blind that means it can double up as a drying room. We have built in a powered extractor fan to remove potential condensation.
The kitchen worktop is reclaimed and charred english oak surrounding a stylish black Thetford Spinflo sink and two ring gas hob, there is a 12v compressor fridge, and cupboard space is plentiful both above and below the worktop.
The build information is listed out below to give a quick summary, but we have kept the inside of the van clear of any of the nuts and bolts of the van workings, so all gas, water and electrical systems are out of sight, using the slide door on the drivers side to access the hot water and gas cylinder, and the cold water is a large onboard (to prevent freezing in the mountains) water tank over the rear wheelarch.
The outside is rugged in a satin grey vinyl wrap, black side ladder and bespoke viewing platform on the roof which has two amazing built in seats, and two solar panels flush with the decking.
This van can only really be appreciated seeing it for yourself, there is a lot of handcrafted detail everywhere you look. We really hope someone will fall in love with it and make fabulous memories in it for years to come! If you have any questions at all please get in touch, we are happy to help. Thanks for looking, Adam & Karen

Beds Description

The bed area is a full size double mattress 1.35m x 1.85m, with memory foam. The full length is gained by using charred cork panelling to insulate and soundproof the outer skin of the van allowing the extra foot & head room. The rest of the van is given 70mm insulation in the walls. It would be easy to provide temporary bed areas for children as we have preserved floor space to make the van feel spacious for getting out of wet clothes etc without feeling cramped.
