Engine:
Generally very good for its age (according to mechanics!)
Aux belt makes a slight noise – I had the tensioner arm replaced and the belt is in good order but the noise persists so it’s something else causing it.
Very minor and slight oil leak from the sump plug (apparently very common in Transits). Mentioned on MOT and also had it checked out June 2023 – not considered a problem. Advised to keep an eye on oil level and replace at next service.
Bodywork:
A couple of minor dents here and there (see photos)
Surface rust has been treated and painted, mostly just small spots and chips on the bonnet and above the cab, also some rust starting on the wheel arches.

Main part of the van insulated with standard campervan insulation, back door panels insulated with DodoMat sound deadener, organic sheep’s wool insulation and a vapour layer. Headliner cupboard insulated with DodoMat sound deadener.
The main bed is a raised, width-ways double with an extra long bit perpendicular to that. It’s a bit unusual but allows you to stretch out. Then there is the upholstered seating area which can also be used as a bed for a child or pet. This also runs the full width of the van.
