Professionally Converted T5.1 Cosy Off Grid Camper Van *FSH*

The van was purchased from John Lewis in 2016 and converted that winter by the Bristol Camper Company. I have had her as a Camper Van for almost 8 years, in which time we’ve done about 30k miles. She is registered as Motor Caravan on the V5. She is well insulated and easy to maintain.

The van is fitted with a RIB bed, in upholstery to match the two front seats. The RIB provides for a huge ‘garage’ under the bed for storage, accessible from above by opening one section of the bed, from inside via two hinged doors, as well as from the outside via the tailgate. The RIB has two belted seats. The upholstery is clean and undamaged as it has always been protected.

The Front passenger seat is on a swivel plate, providing an extra seat.

The galley is fitted with a two burner Dometic hob with piezo starters and a glass cover, a two way (12v/240v) Isotherm CR49 fridge with freezer compartment, a pull out pantry, large cupboard with shelf, plenty of worktop, with a top loading compartment. All surfaces are easy clean and are in very good condition. Note that the Galley does not have a sink. I chose not to have one, however, there is space next to the cooker to fit one, as well as space for water tanks in the large cupboard. There is also storage above the worktop for spices, small jars, towels, trinkets, etc.

The van is clean and in good repair. FSH available: in 2024 having had a major service including new Cambelt. The gas and electrical systems were overhauled also in 2024. The one year old AGM leisure battery is fed by a 110w solar panel on the roof with Victron MPPT controller, or via the engine charger. This set up has kept the fridge and lights going for several weeks while out touring. There is no inverter. The engine battery and the leisure battery are completely separate to reduce the risk of running the engine battery down (new engine battery in 2025). There is a 6ltr underslung LPG tank by Propex. The tank has an external fill, and a quick release connector under the bumper for a gas BBQ.

There is 240v hook up to run the two 240v sockets. LED lighting throughout.

In addition, there is a large storage unit next to the RIB with three access points; the largest has two shelves and a Tambour door for easy access. Of the other two compartments, one can be accessed from RIB and from the outside and is a good place for games, boots etc. The third compartment is accessed via the garage.

The pop-top by Austops, and the bed kit are all in very good condition, as are the straps and the canvas. There is a light mattress for the roof bed.

The Van is being sold with the Fiamma Bike Rack, the Rainbow Screens thermal windscreen cover, Port-potti and chemicals, and a Maypole protective cover. The van also has a C rail for attaching an awning or canopy.

NOTE: The full body wrap (which was installed in summer 2017) is being professionally removed third week in September and the van will revert to her original colour – Silver. She is available for viewing now.
