Toyota Hiace LWB
Toyota Hiace LWB, 2011, 2.5 D4d engine 146k miles Manual 5 gears 2 berth,
Professionally converted by Woodhacker in Wales to a 2 berth campervan.
I convert Toyota Hiaces into campervans as I love the Hiaces. The engines are rock solid, easy to maintain and built to last.
This is the super reliable Turbo diesel 2.5 Toyota engine with 146k miles. (2494cc) This is baby miles for a Hiace and the drive is excellent. These vans will do half a million miles and more if looked after. The base van is in excellent condition and the cab is in good condition also.
I have been driving the van while doing the build and can guarantee that it runs perfectly and starts on the key every time, all gears are smooth.
The van has electric windows, Air con, Cd player with Aux/usb input and central locking.
This van has been well looked after by 1 owner from new. It has full service history and good MOT history. It was serviced twice a year and comes with a new MOT with no advisories. The drop link advisories from the previous MOT have been done. Good tyres, excellent bodywork all round and underneath. No welding ever. It has 3 belted seats in the front (middle seat has a lap strap)
About the van and me.
This is a stunning, one of a kind, beautiful rustic brand new Toyota Hiace campervan conversion. I take time looking out for well maintained base vans with good MOT and service history as well as no welding or previous bodywork issues. I do not want to be putting my energies into a van that hasnβt been looked after and driven well as my business reputation is important to me. Each build I do is unique and has itβs own quirky character.
The layout is designed to incorporate as much storage and functional living space as possible so that it works for long trips away from home with lots of stuff in a van. It is also small enough to be used as an everyday run around or for a quick stealthy escape for a night or two on a weekend. It is a LWB that is easy to drive and easy to park. One of my previous customers is currently living in hers full time in Ireland, another couple are currently travelling Europe in theirs π
Please note..you cannot stand up in this van, the ceiling height is 140cm from floor to ceiling in the centre of the van. I am 5ft 8 and when sitting on the benches upright my head does not quite touch the ceiling.
The van is fully insulated and with a vapour barrier and sound deadening panels. It has new ply lining which has been clad in Tongue and groove painted in Eggshell. The interior has been built with new and reclaimed timber to a high standard. It has barn doors with fixed windows to the rear and a privacy tinted opening window to the side.
Curtain poles with copper pipe and brass fittings add extra rustic charm.
The L shaped seating area makes it feel quite roomy for a small van. The reclaimed pine table drops down on hinges and when closed it becomes a door for the shelving above so things stay secure when driving. Below there is further storage.
The seating is spacious so that 2 adults can lounge stretched out on the seats with plenty of room. The back bench is fixed and has a lift up lid to access storage inside the van as well as a little door.. This area is also accessible from the back outside and the seat flips out 180* so that it can be used as a table supported by chain..perfect for outdoor cooking/drinks etc
The other bench slides out easily to create a double bed that is 6′ long by 4ft wide using the seating cushions. The cushions are foam with a layer of memory foam and are covered with fire retardant upholstery fabric.
There is also lots of storage underneath the pull-out bench which can be accessed from inside, this storage area is also accessible from the back door and runs the full length of the bench seat so that longer things can be stored.
The kitchen has a full-length reclaimed Oak worktop with an extra hinged section to extend some worktop space outside. The double campingaz hob with nice big rings for cooking sits under a section that hinges up when in use. The hob and gas can easily be moved for outdoor cooking also. Another section hinges upwards to access storage below and the leisure battery is housed here in a further storage are which is accessible by sliding cupboard doors.
The van is designed to be Off grid with a solar set up. There is a 100W semi flexible Solar panel on the roof which charges a large 130ah Leisure battery. 3 x LED spot lights, touch sensitive and dimmable. 2x USB charging points and a cigarette lighter socket for the cool box which all run off of the solar. It comes with a 12V 24 litre Cool box.
It has 10 litre fresh and 10litre waste water on-board that is easily accessible. And a handmade copper tap operated by a Whale foot pump. There is plenty of room to carry a larger water butt also for outdoor use.
I have also built a rustic toilet box in a seat with a lid housing a galvanised bucket as a basic night emergency toilet.
I have not had this van on the weighbridge , however I have weighed a previous LWB and additional load from the build added less than 300kg giving scope for you to be able to add the best part of a tonne before she would be to maximum laden weight of 3000kg.It is possible for me to aquire a weighbridge certificate if it was needed .
A beautiful rustic tiny home on wheels , She is a real head turner, cosy, homely and ready for her adventures.
You can see some of my other work and testimonials on Facebook and Instagram. I have very positive feedback from all of my previous customers who mostly stay in touch and let me know about their travels and continue to follow my work π
