*OPEN TO OFFERS*

Very sad to be selling my 1979 T25 Devon Moonraker Campervan, but it’s time for it to move on to a new home!

Engine: CUSTOM 1600 CC air cooled. Engine custom built, twin carb, based on 1.6 CT engine, by Beetlelink, Farnham, Surrey. Full receipts and list of component parts.
Fuel type: Unleaded petrol (works on E10)
Number of gears: 4
Engine condition: Very good, pretty much brand new and packs more of a punch with the twin carbs, also improved MPG.
Bodywork: Good but patchy. Spot rusting around the outside, underside sealed and in very good condition. One of the rear driver side panels needs spraying.

Historic status. Tax and MOT Exempt. Last MOT expired in Jan 21, however it has not done many miles since and has been in to the garage a few times to fix small things with no other advisories popping up.

Purchased vehicle 06/2017. Since then it has toured northern europe and been all around the UK on shorter trips. Rough timeline:

2017: Purchased
2018: Engine refurbished
2019: Interior redesign
2020: Finished interior refurbishment

Completely rebuilt interior by myself over several years. Includes gas hobs, electric coolbox, leisure battery system and more.

I have all paperwork and details from the engine rebuild and a timeline of the interior plus all the receipts, complete with pictures, should you want to see them.

Also have some original docs like the service history dating back to production.

(Note bedding and personal items not included in sale, however it will include the cushions and everything you’d expect to get you on the road, plus a bike rack)

Also open to swaps, looking for a Jeep!

Conversion Description

This T25 is one of the first ever produced in 1979 and was converted in 1980 by Devon Conversions Ltd.

Originally a Devon Moonraker conversion, I have fully re-converted the interior. Starting in Jan 19 I ripped out the full interior down to its metal shell and built from the bottom up. The following is a rough guide to the process, I have photos to support all of this for reference so the new owner knows β€˜what’s underneath’!
Jan 19 – Full strip down to metal. Rust treatment using Hydrate80.
Feb 19 – Sound deadening and insulation placed in all cavities in van.
Mar 19 – interior painted and frame / flooring built.
Apr 19 – interior carpeting put in front cab and roof. Door cards made and put in.
May 19 – Rock n roll bed refurbished, and leisure battery wiring put in.
Jun 19 – cupboards and rear platforms created and put in.
Aug 19 – gas, hob, fridge cooler put in and linked up to leisure battery system.
Apr / May 20 – electrics connected, lights put in and finishing touches to kitchenette.
