This van was converted with my son who was a trainee electrician and wanted to learn to convert a van, this is my fifth conversion and has just been completed.
This is handbuilt, not a bought kit made of cheap mdf. The paints are all researched and as used by professional converters. It has been sound deadened, insulated and finished using materials I know have worked in my own vans.
We have used Renogy kit for the 12v set up. A solar panel, DC-DC, Charge controller, Inverter and battery (paperwork included). It also has electric hookup.
We wanted to design it so it could be easy to take out the rear seating and be used as a van, when not on a camping trip, or through the winter.
It has two side sliding doors, a Stitches and Steel awning that is easy to put up, which is much easier to use than our Fiamma one on our own Transit campervan and can be used in two size configurations.
We have tried to think of all you need based on our experiences travelling through Europe and Scotland.
The bed is quick and easy to make ready for bed.
The kitchen area has an extendable tap so it can be used outside, a sink with fresh water and waste 10 litre containers a Vango low wattage electric twin hob, a Smad 12v electric campervan fridge and three soft close storage drawers and overhead baskets. There is a fan above this area with additional lighting.
There is an Ender Deluxe camping toilet stored under the seating with a retaining strap and storage containers for toiletries etc.
Storage boxes are under the passenger side window for clothes etc and phone charging points are dotted about the van as well as three pin sockets reading lights and phone pockets.
There is a roof rack and steps to make putting kayaks, SUP etc on the roof.
